Hi all,

I will be testing Fastarc G1 this off-season. I am currently using Vega Pro both sides. However I want to also test a rubber which is slightly softer and slightly lower throw than the Vega Pro. I use the same rubber on forehand and backhand at the moment but I just want to test if the change would suit me. I may end up using the Fastarc G-1 both sides or sticking with my Vega Pro both sides, but I have reached the point where I believe  i know what I might like to have different. I have read the g-1 has a similar  throw and sponge hardness. I would like 2 or 3 options to try. One other requirement is that I would like it to be in the same ballpark for speed and spin, doesn't have to be exactly the same but no sriver please. A modern European or Japanese rubber. Price not a factor.

Thanks for your advice.

Softer sponge and lower throw: Vega Japan, Fastarc C-1, Bluefire M2 (all 45 degree)
Or from the new gen stuff, which has softer feel due to thinner or softer topsheet:
Rhyzer 48
Aurus Prime
Bluestorm Z-1

It doesn't fulfil the criteria I set out.

You can consider Andro Hexer PowerGrip.  Access to spin very easy, it is probably close to Vega Pro on Speed.  But it does not have 'kick' in terms of 'top speed' and spin as T05.  But it is extremely spinny.

Hexer PG 2.1mm thickness weight is almost the same 2.1mm T05 weight...so kind of a heavy rubber.  I'm using T05 on fh and Hexer PG on bh.

(G1 does start off a bit hard in my opinion, also max is 2.0mm, i tried it twice before but never could really play well with it. It's almost like the love child between a euro/jap and china rubber)
