Maybe somebody can compare these two.
Rubbers will be Hurrican 3 (Black) 2.0mm on the forehand and sriver EL / 1.9mm on the backhand.
style of play: bothside topspin attacking
and lots of blocks.

I disagree, the WLQ and the better version of it, the Hurricane King (you can't tell the difference if it's not labelled) is very much suited to a hard chinese rubber like H3.

I'd go with the WLQ since it's cheaper and almost identical in feel to the HK. Although be prepared for an annoying vibration when you're looping way off table.

The H-WL has a very nice handle, make sure to put it on whatever blade you're going to use.

a H-WL is absolutely nothing like an OC.

mmmmm ..... my post is a little out but related...

i intend to get the Hurricane King but am a bit concerned..

jus came back from a tt shop comparing H King vs Nittaku's H-WL
they both seems to share the same wood type for the top layer which is good
However the H King is very much thinner compare to Nittaku's
H King feels flimsy while Nittaku's feel more solid while bouncing the ball on both
any comments on this issue....

perhaps H King is more elastic ?? (being a bit flexy could mean its more elastic wz rubber on it)
i did not manage to gather any info on tis cos its darn expensive
and none of the players i know of have this blade..

any H King owners care to share ur experience with us... thanks beri much !!!

Both H-WL and the Nittaku are made in the same factory in China (DHS) the Nittakku is just branded as such.

I would be very surprised to find any difference between the two blades.

I disagree with Jimmyso on the combination of the WL with Hurricane rubbers, I find the two combine perfectly. I have never been a fan of Hurricane rubber but now I understand why it works for some players and not for others.

H2 and H3 only work properly when they are coupled with light springy blades.

HK is closer to OC CR then to H-WL in play.HL is in beetween OC CR and Optimum Synch. H-WL is simular to Clipper.

You mentioned lots of blocks (Angel Buffy)...

If that case I'd go H2 instead of H3.  I find that better for blocking than H3 and it is still possible to top spin attack with.

In blocking H3 can be very sensitive against spin and fly high and slow.  H2 in blocking keeps it down and faster and isn't so responsive to spin like H3..

Just some food for thought...

I just compared dhs WL with Clipper wood. Thickness nearly same (clipper a bit thicker) but the Clipper is much more stiffer: harder woods or 7ply construction or both ?!

haha.... there is nothing wrong with Acoustic, in fact it is a beri nice blade that i grow to love.
i'm even considering getting another one in case Nittaku decide not to produce it any more

jus sold my Nittaku Avalox P700 so i'm left with only one blade, Acoustic

ya u're right, its partly curiousity, partly to have an extra 'for fun' blade
to prevent getting too sick with Acoustic. i need a bit of variety....its jus me la...

Thanks for the feedback, Balint! its beri helpful

I've tried both Hurricane King and Nittaku Violin, I Haven't tried Acoustic though. Nittaku blades are Very difficult to get in Jakarta. I actually Found Violin in Singapore. I prefer Less Expensive Violin rather than H-King in term of ball touch and feeling.
I think Hurricane king is designed for hard rubber such as Hurricane Rubber. So when I use soft Rubber like Mark V Ad, Cermet, there's not enough power on it.
Nittaku Violin is amazing, The control is so nice, I don't know how to describe it. I knew Violin from this forum, many player use it like Balint, TT Freak.
My previous bat all are butterfly carbon blades. Now I left them all in my cabinet
