Hi there,

I'm a looper and I use a Tibhar IV L balsa blade. This is a VERY light blade, and although it has a fantastic feel it lacks power and speed.

I'm using it with 2 Yasaka Xtends 2.0, but I feel the loops on the forehand could be more spiny and powerful. This became apparent when trying other blades/rubber combos on my club.

The question is: what rubber would you recommend for the forehand? I love the Xtend on the BH, so I want to keep that, but the forehand could use something more spinny and powerful. In the past I would simply gotten a speed glue/spiny rubber combo, but now with the ban I'm not sure.

I tried a Chinese rubber, but it was way too slow for this racket, so I'm assuming a Japanese version would work better. I wouldn't like to have to switch blades, so I'm just looking for alternatives.

Any suggestions? Sorry for the long post!

 Andro Plasma
BTY Tenergy, Bryce, Bryce Speed, etc.

Slap on some 1.9 Tenergy 05 and call it good. Upgrade to 2.1 when ready, or T25, or T64...

I use 1 ply balsa blade and couple of my friends TSP BalsaFiber series. The XIOM Omega III was little faster for them. The XIOM True Innovation is the best match that I have found.

I play with a friend who has the IVL Balsa blade from Tibhar. He uses Yasaka Mark V 1.8 on both sides. He also does not generate a lot of power in his strokes, but he plays close to the table and wins mostly with consistency and placement. I think its a good combination.

If you want to try something with a bit more kick, Try donic platin. I really like it.

Yasaka Pryde should be faster and spinier than Xtend.

a friend use 4L Basla + Nimbus Medium, it works great. If you are confident in your game, you can try Nimbus VIP.
