Anyone tired these blades and so please give some feedback about them. I currently use Photino with H3 fh regular and T64 bh, and although its a pretty good setup, I have tried some club mate's paddles that are rated slower but seem to also work well for me, hence the interest in these slower blades. Thanks in advance. Oh, I am close to the table, block and smasher, with occasional fh loop.

Alpha is NOT a blocking blade, it`s soft and flexible, more of a looping machine. Also good for chinese-style power game with classiс tacky rubbers like 999Nat and BW2. But not the best for blocking, by no question.

Great thank you. I do use top spin over the table frequently and although Photino is great for most situations it is a little less predictable and difficult to control for the topspin over the table. Any suggestion for a blade that fits my style?

Try a TBS for more control.

I just received the TSP Award Offensive Reflex 50 from mytt.net, and from the brief robot session I just had, it seems like a very viable option for anybody looking for a 5 ply wood blade with a slightly stiffer feel for blocking. Oddly enough, there seems to be a black layer in between the wood, but it's definitely not carbon, I recall reading it's some sort of cloth somewhere, but I can't affirm that yet. Also interesting to note is the handle is actually VERY similar to the Tibhar Sensitec "technology". The Xeon Sensitec was my first real paddle before I broke it hitting it against my leg in frustration Embarrassed, and the handle has the same unique look to it, which leads me to believe they're the same technology.

So would you say that the TSP is faster and stiffer than the Xeon Sensitec?

I also see that the regular Reflex off is speed/control is listed as 10/9 where as award 50 is 9/5?

I won't go as far as saying faster since it's been a while since I've last used the Sensitec and my technique has gone through improvement (coaching), but it has a harder, sharper feel than Sensitec and a little bit stiffer.

Great. That would seem work. Now all I got to do is find the difference between Award 50 and regular off reflex.

samsonov alpha is know for being a stiff blade with soft feeling, good for blocking. and its well balanced in terms of weight which is important since u use heavy rubbers like h3 and tenergy
