Hi what do you people think about this combo.

Tibhar Samsonov Stratus Carbon
Fh Bluefire m1
Bh Bluefire m1

What do you think about this setup. Should I go for it. I am a little concerned about the speed of the blade.
Can you compare it to some other blade for reference.
At this moment I am using Stiga clipper cr wrb with Acuda.

My other option for the blade is Donic Waldner Legend Carbon.

Please guide.

Regards

With the Waldner Legend it would be a weapon setup if you can land your shots. That blade has some decent pace as do those rubbers. I quite like the feel of the Wladner Legend blade so If the Stratus Carbon is similar it should be good but quite fast.

Your backhand could be suspect with rubbers and paddle that fast.
it is usual to use a slightly slower rubber on backhand

Provide some information about the kind of game you intend to play with the setup and why you are considering it.

This blade is used by Bojan Tokic, so is fast and good enough for all amateur players.. Rubbers are the top Donic choices right now.. so you are getting a very good combo.. I hope you can handle it.

Bring it! Minimum weight of 205-210 grams is a good start, but that heavy has to have great balance or it feels all wrong. I loved my mod to the nice, but lightweight Nexy Calix II, 84 grms befor mod, addding 15-20 grams to the handle's hollow area.

In my experience, heaviness is usually Head Heaviness , and less about the blade's actual weight. Bluefire usually is 50g cut, so this will be close to 200 but should not cross it.

Maybe M2 for BH. A bit more dwell, lower throw and lower weight.

NEXT LEVEL :

I am two wing looper. I have a chinese style forehand and I go big on forehand. In the past I used H3 neo with YEO and Grip S with Clipper CR wrb on FH.
My backhand is good with a crazy curve and I like to hit it away from the table. On table I sometimes punch block but this is not my plus.I am better at looping.
I have used S1 turbo, Rakza 9 and sonex Jp on backhand.

I am considering the SAMSONOV STRATUS CARBON because Bojan Tokic uses it and I love his style Smile. Also I believe it would suit my style.
The other choice is Waldner Legend Carbon.

ASSIDUOUS :

I was thinking to use the same rubbers for both Fh and Bh.I was thinking may be this will help me in better ball feeling Tongue, similar speed and spin.
Not so sure though.

You sound like a much better player than I am, to be honest.  I would be concerned that you are using such fast equipment with lower vibrations after having used Chinese rubbers with an all-wood blade.   Other than that, it seems that what you are moving could be transitioned to - you just have to deal with a different short game on the forehand side.

Thanks for your feedback. I have tried composite blades many times but never owned one for a long time.
I am quitting chinese rubbers because they feel kind of dead when you don't put much effort in the shot or you are not in a position to execute full swing. The response from the sponge is not impressive.

That's the same reason why many people don't use them.  My guess is that since you have used S1turbo on your backhand, you will be fine.  My fear is that you may still wish for the short game that you used something slower on your forehand.  Not dead or very slow, but at least, something less bouncy than M1.

Yeah but I was wondering how the pros use it Tongue
Naah just kidding.

That's the reason I played with Tenergy 05 and Hexer HD to assure whether I can get a hang of these rubbers and I adjusted to it with some adjustments in the strokes.
Do u have in mind any other better option for FH ?

Tried yesterday Samsonov Carbon with M2 - this was a beast to tame, however. Fast, powerful and bouncy.

It is slower than TB ALC and has definitely more control. But anything can be ruined by wrong rubber match.

Significantly slower or by a notch or two ?
Tokic uses this blade with MX-p.
Do you think M1 will go fine with this blade.

16.66% slower, or, TB ALC is 20% faster

I am going to try it tomorrow with MX-P.

Sorry, we have put them on Acoustic. As for M1, I am using it now with OSP Martin and it feels like springboard. Not sure I like it.
