I think this is one way to test your coach on their knowledge of the sport.

I dont think there are that many. I know there is a regular loop with heavy topspin and some power. Then I use an all spin loop that is all topspin with little power but the spin throws my opponents off. Then theres the more powerful loop, and then a loop against heavy backspin. Also the counter loop.

Umm......
1. Spinny loop.
2. Power loop.
3. Looping backspin.
4. Banana loop
5. Looping all the different variations of side spin and side top side back etc.
6. Defencive loop (position yourself for a huge incredibly, top-side spinny banana loop from way beyond)
That's all I can think of.
OH!!! And then there's the loop that ties your shoe. (I call it the looptyloop)

I love the banana loop. I usually do it off the BH.

Swiffers: it is a good start.
I just wanted more information and I will be able to do all of them. How about no spin or dead ball loop ? Please do not ask me how it is done ? Some professionals will know. |

Its all the same with different variations of spin and speed.
loop kill, loop drive, slow loop are pretty similar just changing spin and speed. Hook loop/banana loop, when you curve it to the left for righties. Fade loop/ inside out loop, when you swing left and it goes right with sidespin. No spin loop, looks like a slow loop, but has no spin. |

When the ball hits the other side of the table, it will curve up , down , sideways.
I think this is called banana loop. The ball moves on the path of a banana. thanks kenneyy88: is there all there is to table tennis ? |

thanks, i think i understand it now, basically its different from normal loop by having that sideways deviation after bouncing on other side, so it curves away form the player |
