Alright so yesterday I was looping against my coach who was blocking back. I began to notice the lower part of my blade making a hollow sound and the ball coming off lacking pace. Took me ages to notice that the thin top layer of wood had just come away about 1mm from the rest of the blade.
The blade is only a few months old and I had replaced that side only a couple of days ago so it must have been that. I put some water based glue in the crack and clamped it for now and it seemed to play fine tonight. Should it be ok or should I replace it? |

It should be fine. It's actually quite common for that blade, I've seen 2 like that already...

It will probably be fine. The question is if you can trust the blade again. If you start blaming your (maybe faulty??) blade for lost points then you know you need to replace it.
Otherwise, I think water glue was the right choice.

I guess it depends on what water based glue? Elmers school glue even would be fine I bet. I dont' think it will even effect a shot hit in that area much, and none at all in the sweet spot.
