Got the Stiga Infinity,
Tested same time MM, Tb alc, Rw, Stratus pw and other blades. Positive features: Good handle, balance, not wrist charging, control, blocking performance. Not so good at: Speed (slower), feeling (somewhat dead). MM and Tb Alc are more lively and powerful blades while SInf allows to put more arm power. Tested the SInf with t05 fh and srvfx bh. The infinity feels an allround/off- blade. It has a lot of control about blocking and allows to play active blocking just lacking some speed. It is a blade with control and some mid distance kick but it does not have the powerlooping performance an alc blade has. Slower than a hardwood blade Thickness and weight balance are good 5,9 mm around together with 85 gr. Having good control the feeling is not so good as a waldneroff40 or Stratus pw not burned ply allwood blades. It is a safe choice to play but it is not a smiling feeling blade. There is not as good vibration feeling as a woff or Strpw. Though i scored very well the first match playing day my impression is that in the long run i will miss some performance. To be continued. Thank you for the updated on weight, and rubbers used for testing (I was about to ask, before I saw your update). Mine weight at only 80g, and it does have the hollow feel on control loop. Playing full out aggressive is good, but it's very tiring .
I play BH very well with it, but I need faster rubber (T64, S1). So far only H3 works for me on the FH, because I can loop more aggressive with confidence, with M2 my consistency drop on aggressive play (this is my own problem though), and I don't have the confidence to play control with this blade (hollow feel). I agree with you on the handle, very comfortable, a little thicker near the neck when compare to the Intensity NCT. Also blocking is surprisingly good, I did not expect it, as it has some flex, which is usually not very good for blocking. I really like to hear your thought on how it compare to rw5. Comparing to my Intensity (which is also 80g), I think my Intensity have a more solid feel. Edited by mhnh007 - 11/14/2013 at 12:50pm |

Mine is 88 gr, and i agree about most mentioned above. It plays quite consistent but needs more focused playing. Stratus pw is faster, softer and stiffer. ( no suprises for me because it is thicker and no special coating)

Agreed also about the easy and good bh play (opening looping play), and the somehow hollow feeling.
Rw5 feels quite different. Rw5 feels less comfortable about wrist charging and handle solid feeling. Rw5 is more vibrating and faster. SInf has more dwell. Edited by ejmaster - 11/14/2013 at 5:41pm |

Considering tb alc is the most popular blade in the butterfly blades stiga has the cc5 that is complete bh and fh with feel and power when you need , but i didnt try the infinity though. And the cc5 i have has the same weight of tb alc around 80 grams.

A 80 gr tb alc is a b*shit (didactic term) tb alc sample. So that one may be similar b*stuff as a cc5. At least > 87gr about tb alc.
In general good weight in tt blades go from 85 gr. 85 gr is very good weight when blade building allows to have enough power. In advance someone saying i have a wonderful 75 gr. blade this advice comes from experience (imo). The Infinity is different blade from Rw or Intensity. I do not think the Rw or the Intensity are better blades. Different. I would bet more players from this forum are going to score better with an 85 gr Infinity sample rather than a Rw or a Intensity.
