I'm planning on purchasing a new bat. I'm considering Stiga Alamana sound synenergy FH+ Hybird wood and Sriver EL BH. Or Butterfly Bryce /FX FH+Balsa Carbo X5+Sriver EL BH. Any suggestions for which selection would be better? I am an offensive forehand player and defensive backhand player.

the alamana has that water based glue and the butterfly rubbers you need to use speed glue to get the same effect. so if your planing to use it for a while coming i woold lean over to the stiga rubbers. with the blades the hibrid wood is a bit faster than the balsa carbon x5.

I'm using the Balsa Carbo X5 and I like it a lot. Plenty fast for me. If you are relatively new to the sport, you probably don't want to go much faster than OFF-.

I guess as Halibass said OFF- weight, I prefer light. I have considered Balsa Carbo X5 as well as Timo Boll Spark, where did you buy your Balsa Carbo X5?

I recommend Hybrid Wood With Almana Sound Synergy Tech in FH and Sriver EL in BH. It is better to have 1.9 - 2.3 in FH for control and that stuff...
DHS PG2-L

FH: Butterfly Tackiness Chop II Red 1.9
BH: Joola Poker Black 1.2

I got my Balsa Carbo here, on mytt.net. Other blades that are often highly recommended are the Butterfly Korbel, Stiga All Around Classic, and the Stiga Off Classic.

If you want fast, try the blade I'm currently using.  The Sardius.  It's by butterfly and it's known for it's quickness.  Great for the offensive game, if you can control it.  It's a tad bit on the heavy side, but other than that, it's great blade.  Medium feeling of vibration.  I've been thinking of selling mine, so if you wish, make an offer, PM

..  It has a one splint towards the top edge, and a few very very small dinks.  Other than that...it's in good shape.
