bbkon made a what I thought was a good suggestion on another thread about shoes. The question is for people with a lot of experience with TT shoes, do certain brands run consistently smaller than size would suggest, are others larger, etc.??
Have you encountered certain brands that are consistently larger or consistently smaller than the size indicates? If so, maybe you can post your experience on this thread. This could be useful information for people who like TT shoes but are forced to buy them on-line because there is no such thing as a walk-in store anywhere with thousands of miles of where they live -- for example, substantial parts of North America. I can start by saying that most of the Asics TT shoes that I have tried run pretty true to size -- what they call a European 46 is really a 46. |

I find that even within the same brand, different models' sizes also differ. Not always consistent, I'd not recommend buying shoes online without trying in the store.
If your shoes don't fit well, your footwork will suffer. |

I agree. And from my personal experience, same applies for clothing, as different models may come from different factires using different measurements (besides different style/cuts) For Mizuno shoes, generally one can use CM of feet (heel to toe) and add 1.5CM to get shoe size. Ie 26cm + 1.5cm = 27.5cm, maybe up to +2cm. But then I have 2 different models and same size, and one is a lot more tighter (that I should of gone +2.0mm). |

I never have trouble finding shoes that fit....except when it comes to TT shoes.
But then I always try on my 'normal' shoes in a shop before i buy...rather than ordering online. I've had great trouble buying TT shoes online-so have given up.. I tend to buy mine at big tournaments where there are plenty of TTstalls-with shoes to try & buy. |
