I want to ask you guys this : Is there a kind of wood that use for all table tennis table ? Because if the wood and the paint isn't the same, it might put more speed on the ball or lower the speed now.I'm worried about it because my table at home and the table at the club feels a lot different ...

The cheap tables are made of MDF [medium density fibreboard] and the good ones [probably at your club] are made of HDF [high density fibreboard].
The finish [surface] of the table might be different as well. Some cheaper tables tend to have bad paint jobs, or very frictiony surfaces which aren't good for transfering spin. What you want is a HDF board table with a matte finish that, when, a ball is dropped from a 30cm height, will bounce down and back up to a peak of 23cm [not sure but if I remember correctly...] |
