Do you notice differences in spin between both?

My epilogue:
- "SPRIG SPONGE" is the same in T05, T25 and T64
- hardness (of top sheet): T25 > T05 > T64
- pip size: T25 > T05 > T64
- weight is circa equal
- style of play: T64 - loop far from table; T05 - medium/close to table; T25 - close to table
- price is fancy, if you have friend in shop - 30€ = no problems

I have been trying Tenergy 25 for a week. Unlike Tenergy 5, I think it is for the close to mid distance looping game.

Yes, Tenergy 25 is faster than Tenergy 5.

thanks a lot now the next question is: Is your rubber black or red,

because I generally find black to be heavier in all rubbers.  I think its got something to do with pigment... ? the thing i love about bryce series red is it is so clear, you can see the pips better than any other red rubber, juicy like jelly or candy.

This is a list from that fantastic database.

Butterfly 001 Tenergy 05 0 2.1 blk 71.8 0.250174
Butterfly 001 Tenergy 05 36 2.1 blk 70.4 0.243902
Butterfly 001 Tenergy 05 36 2.1 blk 68 0.238295
Butterfly 001 Tenergy 05 36 1.7 blk 67 0.232123
Butterfly 001 Tenergy 05 36 1.9 blk 68 0.23416
Butterfly 001 Tenergy 05 36 2.1 red 69 0.240519
Butterfly 001 Tenergy 05 36 1.7 red 64 0.217909
Butterfly 001 Tenergy 05 36 2.1 red 69 0.236261
It would be a great idea on this forum as more people receive their rubbers to weigh them before and after they cut them and write red or black.

The average of the above 5 rubbers is  69.64 or 0.2418302.
About 46 grams cut for 05.
About 43-4 grams cut for 64.
So if these wonderful and wacky calculations are right, T64 is a few grams lighter than 05.  This will consequently take a much needed 5 grams out of the head of my blade which is very welcome to the overall balance on my ishlion.

Using info from the database, we may also conclude that t64 is about the same weight as sriver G3 or roxon 500

Cutting a Tenergy? Never. With that price i wouldn't even think about it. Just stick it to the blade and start spinning with corners flapping.

lets see... 66*2+80=212 gr. is it heavy or what?

trainee I don't quite understand what your on about or what you are on.

playing with 2 squares of rubber?

200 grams is very heavy if you use your wrist in the stroke. Its not heavy if you hit the ball when you know where the ball will always land.

And as for your signature, I think you should realise that you too don't exist, it is the game that plays itself.

You have that luxury...of not knowing what I know: that a square rubber plays better than a cut rubber. YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!!

The original matrix has always been my favorite, actually favorite movie of all time, then they progressively became more like superman.

Anyway back on topic..

Is there absolutely any difference in surface grip between these 3 models?

I already know about pips btf ratings etc...

and a touch off note:

Does anyone agree with me that as tenergy gets older it actually gets easier to control?
Coz I find once that over the top grip has faded, the rubber is still the best rubber I have ever used and all my old ways of service return - return again.  Service touch shots and flat flipping I've found best with low spin rubber.

When you need the spin just hit in a bit more

With about 30 hours of play the top sheet lost most of the original translucency but still quite grippy to the touch. I found the T05 is surprising good for pushing even when new. However, I do not sense any improvement in control though.

I have at least 120 hours of play on T05 and the top sheet still looks like new.  There are tears and scrapes on the edges from looping too close to the table, but the sweet spot shows no wear, and I'm pretty consistent about hitting my balls there.  My impression is the T25 and T64 use the same top sheet.  Does this seem correct?

I'm starting to think that I should tell everyone that tenergy is terrible, so that I don't have to play against it!  I have influenced quite a few players into trying it and then consequently buying it, and they love as I do and I find now they more consistant.

More fun atleast!

a chinese player at my club used H3 for the longest time on his FH and he just got tenergy 05.. I thought he would get less consistent.. but his shots are twice as fast and twice as accurate. Not to mention Twice as consistent.

sorry about the delay guys. this is my first review  so here we go ...

i glued on to  timo boll sprit blade. first impressionis that it a lot softer than the T05. tried it on the f/h first i  notice that it felt  slightly slower ehrn looping but lacked the spin qualties of T05. Switched to backhand this where the rubber comes itr its own. you can block all day with this. the control is excellent , back hand looping is effotless and seems you cannot miss unlike T05 where one shot it on than the next one is misses the table
in my opion this is a good backhand rubber where the T05 is made the forehand

This is exactly what I have been telling everybody for a couple weeks now. When I tried it, it was too soft for FH, and wasn't as spinny as 05, but on BH it's wonderful! I plan to get myself a ZLF and put 05 on FH and 64 on BH.

Do you think the durability of 64 will be similar than 05's?

I read someone saying that 64 maybe could be less durable.

It is always good to get multiple opinions; even better when they are the same. I use CPen and unlike a shakehand racket, I cut my rubbers differently for fh and bh. My T64s should come in in a couple of days. It might be an expensive $45 mistake to try it on my fh first. I was thinking Oh Sang Eun is using T64s on both fh and bh so T64 could be good for either.

I ordered them from Dandoy. It took about 10 days last time with the T05s so it should be another 10 days for this order.
