What is the current cheapest tensor(TM) rubber? Are all tensor(TM) rubbers have identical performance?

Cheapest tensor is probably a Palio...? I actually don't know.
How could every tensor have identical performance?! If that were the case then there would only be one tensor called: TENSOR. It's just like classic rubbers - they're all very different. Some tensors are soft, some are hard, some have high throw, some have low throw. Every rubber is different - even a Red H3 compared to a Black H3! |

how is the speed of palio compared to other tensors such as xiom O3?

Presports is running a sale on the older version of O3 for US $25, max sponge thickness only. I think this is the cheapest trade name Tensors you can buy. I played Palio's Hadou 2046 before, a pretty good rubber. They called it tension tech. but I don't think it "sounds" the same as the other trade name Tensor I played before: Yasaka Pryde and it is slower. Just like Totoro says, even Tensors have differences and don't play exactly the same. |

Palio rubbers with built in glue is call Biotech.. i have tried their Hk1997, and CJ8000 biotech... speed and spin is nowhere close to T05 and JO Platin... i guess you paid what you get... |

pailo has as well real tensor rubbers, thats a big difference to the biotech versions! All the tensor rubbers are made in germany with a special sponge sormulation.

Nope. Joola Energy and Energy X-tra and the Nimbus serie from Tibhar are on the top of glue-effect. Last tensor generation have less glue effet but is more durable. |

you should try xiom product from ESN factory. They have much better glue effect than joola energy and nimbus.
When you say tensor, you should mean ESN products with tension technology. These rubbers are marked with the tensor logo (two crossed arrows). THESE rubbers (from the same genaration) are similar. They play similar, feel similar, last similar. They are very close together.

actually, i already bought one xiom o3. It's my first and only tensor rubber. The performance of the rubber is much much better than my other rubbers. The only thing that is bad is the price, i'm just curious if there are other rubbers out there that are cheaper but equal performance.

SPI technology (tibhar) is equal to Tensor-Bios (Andro, Banco), just like tensor-green-power (Joola) or New Formula (Donic), they come from the same factory. But in fact they play different even at the same hardness. Joola Energy is far more dynamic than Express 2 (same hardness, both from Joola).........there is a huge difference in speed and glue effect. Same goes for Nimbus medium and Sinus Alpha (Nimbus medium far more dynamic). I didn't tried xiom tensors, but i have tried tensors from Andro, Joola, Banco ( a french brand using Tensor-bios technology), Tibhar, Donic (only Sonex JP gold and Coppa platin soft). A also tried Bryce speed/speed fx, T05, Yasaka Pryde/pryde30, Stiga Boost TC.........and by far i found that the Nimbus serie with Joola Energy had the best glue effect (for 40+ hardness rubbers)......same goes for all best players of my TT club, almost all of them are playing with a Nimbus(medium) or the Joola Energy Green Power. BTW, I should try Xiom products but i need to import them :( |

you really should import them ;) I tried only several rubbers from ESN. I never liked them. Sometime i hoped that another tensor would suit me better but it disappoints me everytime. If I had to choose between joola energy GP and xiom (whatever) I would choose joola. Xiom is too dynamic and fast for me. andrew, the cheap one is andro impuls. But I think there will be huge difference bethween impuls and omega3. Joola energy is not so expensive too... |

The tensor rubbers from various brands play differently. They are not the same. The brands use their sponsored players input to make products to be unique in its performance.
The XIOM rubbers like Omega III and Omega II are fast. When they have all the sponsored players like Ryu Seung Min and some from Japan, what can you expect more.
You can get slow speed with the Euro versions of Omega III for example. You can also go to 2.0 mm sponge size to reduce the speed a little.

you think joola energy is faster than express 2? iv used both and i think express 2 is faster and has a bit more spin. many other members have also commented on Xiom tensors. how do they compare to energy and express 2? |

The XIOM rubbers are made of Tensor technology. The Omega III and ZETA have BIOS also. The Joola Express series use Tensor as well as Greenpower technology.
