    Posted: 01/02/2010 at 11:30am
As an official distributor of XIOM in the USA, we have received a few Vega rubbers from XIOM for our free testing. I would like to give away those rubbers to some good reviewers on MyTT forum, let them do the testing and share their reviews with us. Anyone who is interested, or you have anyone to recommend, please post here and tell us which rubber you would like to test. It is preferable if you are located in North America and you can to the comparison with Tenergy rubbers in your reviews.

Rubbers for testing:
Vega Pro x 2
Vega Asia x 1
Vega Europe x 1
(For rubber information:
http://www.mytabletennis.com/shop/rubber?brand=297)

The rubbers are brand new and free for you. And MyTT will pay for the shipping too (within North America).

I'm in for Asia if it still available. I'm using Vega pro now and really like it. I also have T05 and T64 to compare with Xiom performing

Would love to join the bandwagon!
Now, I would even have Tenergy 05 and Hexer (coming very soon) to compare it with.
Would like to see the Pro or Asia Version. And yeah, i would be ready to pay the shipping to India for sure!

I would also like to be considered for the Vega Pro. I do live in North America, and I have a sheet of Tenergy 25 that I can use for comparison. Thanks.

Experience: Started playing in 1971. USTTA highest rating 1814. USATT highest rating 1582. Played in German sport club for three years in late 70s. Played in Korean club for two years in late 80s & early 90s. Currently playing twice a week in club league play.

I'd love to test the Vega Euro!

-i'm only about US1300 (based off of who I beat and who I lose to)
-i mostly push, lob and counter with my BH (loop in development)
-i can compare to T05/mark V/mendo on the same blade
-i live in the US

I have a strong feeling that this rubber is simply "too much" for someone of my level to handle; but if it turns out otherwise (increased performance without loss of consistency) i would be thrilled.

It is NOT first come first serve. We will decide based on your experience. The selected testers will be announced on Monday.

Why only within NA ? For example, I played for a while with Dawie Inspirit that I bought from NZ for 6.00 ($10.00) a sheet including P&P..... The mark up on TT rubbers is disgusting, why would sending them outside USA be prohibitive to their marketing value? I'm not saying this because I wish to be sent any, but we live in a small world, there must be another reason that only USA is being considered in this.Smile

I would like to test the Pro version.  I had a hit with it on a defensive blade, and was impressed.  I have the Asian version and it is a quality rubber, but lacks spin close to the table, compared to T05 and Hexer.
Right now I use Hexer on a offsensive blade.
Gave up listing, too many changes.
Blade - Yes
BH - Rubber Red
FH - Rubber Black

I'd like to test the Vega Europe or Pro.

I suppose I'll give my "resume".

- I am a 1950 USATT rated player
- I train 3 days a week with a coach with other very high level players that could contribute to testing.
- I have played with Tenergy 05 and 64 for over a year and also just recieved 2 sheets of hexer that can be compared with Vega
- I live in North America
- I love writing reviews of rubbers, and understand their characteristics much more than blades.
- Been a member of the forum for a pretty long time

Anything else?

Alex,

I would like to volunteer my services for review of Xiom Vega.  I'm fine with any but would really prefer first the Pro version, second the Asian version.  I use three blades to review: BTY Power Drive, BTY Primorac Carbon and BTY Adolescen.  My main written reviews here are LKT Rapid Soft and Outlaw but I have several shorter ones as well as I recommend equipment to less experienced clubmates.  I can send you a video of me playing as well including a somewhat close losing effort to current U.S. National Champion Michael Landers.  Speedy knows me personally also.

I am interested in testing Vega Asia.

Resume: I have no real current rating (USATT 1545) but when I was in Raleigh, NC I played with and have beaten all the high level players with the exception of Jim McQueen who I have got games off of (but we did not play that  much). Here is the rating system:

http://rattc.smanders.com/
Timo ALC FL

Tibhar Grip S MAx

Tenergy 64 FX National 2.1mm

He never boosts... of course he never had to...
