Hello guys!
I am thinking of purchasing Donic Li Ping Kitex blade, but I am not sure of its composite layer - texalium. How does it feel? What does it bring to the blade? Is it "glass" feel of tamca5000 like in Boll Tricarbon? Or feeling that You're playing with a sausepan as in Stiga Aluminum? I hope it is just nice power and enlarged sweetspot without those negative effects. Thanks in advance! |

Don't know about Donic Li Ping Kitex, but I've got the Killerspin Diamond TX & TC blades. Both are fast 7 ply blades. From what I can tell, the only difference between TC and TX is the handle colour and the fact that TX uses 2 Texalium layers while TC - 2 Titanium/Carbon layers.
TX feels a tad heavier, somewhat slower, a touch softer than TC. When you hit the ball hard, the sound from TC is louder and crisper. I attribute these differences to the difference between Texalium and Titanium/Carbon. Both offer plenty of power. Dwell time seems to be directly dependent on rubbers used - low with something like Killerspin Fortissimo/Yasaka Xtend and high enough with Xiom Vega Pro/Yasaka Rakza7. Neither TX nor TC feel like "glass" or a "saucepan" :-) |

I have both of the Nittaku Texalium blades, the Lumilas, and the Alulass.
I swear by them, they are fantastic. They are comparable to Donic's Senso Technology, as you can feel feedback in the nerves of your arm and wrist, telling you instantly where the ball will go, and how you should have played the ball, if you made a mistake. The Alulass is kinda slow, but I like the combination of super spinny fast rubber and a controllable blade. The Lumilas is faster, but also with great touch. As for the Donic Li Ping Kitex, it is essentially the same thing as the Nittaku Lumilas, but slightly faster, which means less control, so if your touch isn't quite there, you may want to try the Alulass. I currently use the Nittaku Alulass with Nittaku narucross EX Hard, which I love. It has superb spin and speed, so I can do a spinny flip short over the net, block heavy spin easily, but I can also do high-powered spinny loops from mid-distance, while placing the ball within a few square inches of where I want it to go.
