Hello.I am looking for a high-spin rubber.I have already tried T05 ( suits me well , good spin with reasonable speed but expensive and sometimes I can not rely on power from fh - that is the main reason I want to change it...) , tried Vega Pro - it is not as durable I want...after 2 months plays the different way from new.
Can anyone compare Aurus with genius?( or suggest smth else harder than Barracuda's 42.5 sponge...)
Oh, I forgot. My blade is TB ALC.

aurus topsheet is very durable ... but it will lose tuning after a month... so you have to retune for optimum performance.

all other rubbers you mentioned are older generation and not as durable as aurus.

I agree that Aurus topsheet is very durable compared with other tensor rubbers.

What makes you believe that Aurus needs retuned?

I guess forum members stay cautious to give advices to the guy who "can not rely on power from fh .." with T05 there ...Smile
Jokes apart - I couldn't figure out the problem from your post?

Ok, I got your point. In other words, it has not many gears.I have to limit myself to apply more power and to close racket.

i think while it is easier to generate spin with genius generation rubbers.... aurus delivers better spin on faster strokes.

@debraj or yogi_bear :

Can one/both of you compare genius(regular) vs Aurus(regular) against the following -

1) Speed
2) Sensitivity to incoming spin
3) Active vs Passive blocking / Punch blocks
4) Spin on both push and loop , using top sheet as well as sponge
5) Durability
6) Smashes

Appreciate both of y'all feedbacks !

If it's not too hard I'd be interested in a similar comparison, just with the Aurus soft and genius soft, NOT the very soft sound versions. I'd also like to know:

7) Hardness (I think they are listed as the same but how do they feel)
8) Throw angle
9) Spin on serves

Huge thanks to anyone who could help me out here!

If u're looking for a high-spin rubber, go for the genius. Why?
According to the info from Tibhar,
Genius rubbers are spin-oriented rubbers, while Aurus rubbers are like speed-oriented.
If I don't remember it wrong, Aurus rubbers are cheaper because of the materials and technology used in the rubbers.

aurus has much less grip than t05, and is lower throw. (medium, not high). not a replacement. (it has a click feel in a similar way though.)

genius has still lower throw than aurus.

the only rubber similar to t05 to my knowledge is bluefire m1. same arc, and you don't need to change your stroke.

if durability is a problem for you then genius is not the answer, its as old or older generation than vega pro. im playing with vega pro for over 2 months now havent felt that big a difference since i began playing with it, ofc it has lot grip but it doesnt play that much different... maybe try acuda s1?
