Just use adhesive bandage from Walgreens. The very best for this.

I use Nittaku's grip tape. Works way better than Wilson for me.

I've tried tons of different overgrips - tacky, ultimate absoption, feel etc etc - but they all become slippery very quickly. Yes I admit I have sweaty palms, but it almost seems as if I have to change overgrips mid-match best tennis overgrip for sweaty hands. I've been using the Babolat Pro Team Tacky lately, which supposedly has "220% absorption", but even that doesn't stay tacky for a whole match. Anyone have any recommendations for a good overgrip that would fit the bill?

Has anyone tried the old Tourna Gauze Grip Tape. This was the first over grip tape for tennis many years ago. It had a texture because of the gauze and it was sticky.

Standard tennis overgrips are usually twice as long as what you need for TT handles. But that is up to you. Myself - I start at the middle of the handle, then go up then wrap around and start going down to the bottom of the handle, where I cut it and use the sticky tape (provided with the overgrip; or you can use a piece of regular electric tape) to secure it. Or you can start at the bottom and go up. My advice - buy Wilson's Overgrip at Walmart as suggested before and experiment. It is very cheap. |

Sorry, I am very inexperienced with these over-grips. Do you just wrap it around then cut it off at some point? Or is it continuous wrapping?

It's pretty much the exact same product. Take a look at the Butterfly grip wrap - $5 for one wrap. I use the Wilson's - $3 for 3 wraps from Walmart. Each Wilson wrap is enough for two handles so you're really paying $3 for 6 wraps. ![]() Edited by GMan4911 - 12/19/2014 at 5:18pm |

Cheers for this, how effective are tennis overgrips on table tennis bats though? Are they well optimised for these small rackets?

Since you have small hands I would advise the thinner overgrips - two examples, that I myself have used are Wilson Overgrip Pro Soft, and Prince Duratred + Overgrip.

Hi guys, quick thread.
What are the pros and cons of a bat overgrip for table tennis? I have small but sweaty hands, would they benefit or ultimately not work well? Could you guys recommend any overgrips which are not specifically made for table tennis? e.g. would this be a good grip? - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BABOLAT-MY-GRIP-TENNIS-RACKET-OVERGRIP-CHOOSE-COLOUR-ALSO-FOR-PADEL-OR-SQUASH-/181173752706?pt=UK_Tennis&var=&hash=item2a2ecc1382 Cheers guys, - SmackDAT
