I like the advice to start with fast long serves to the body. Easy to miss those when you're not warmed up. But the stats analysis is incomplete at best. Of course the person who wins game 1 usually wins the match; he's already 1/3 of the way to winning, usually the better player (or the player who's playing better) wins any given game as well as the match, there might be an even bigger advantage to the winner of game 2 or 3, etc. The only thing I'm sure about is it's best to win the last game.

That's quite interesting. Years ago I heard the saying that it's not that important to win the first set. The goal of the first set is to try a lot of different serves and analyze your opponents game. If you lose the first one it doesn't matter. You now know how to play the match and can go on to winning the match.

The problem with that is that if you go all out to win the first set, you most likely won't focus on tactical things as much, which might cause problems in the following sets.

In League last week, I lost Game 1 in a match 0-11, then won match 3-1.
Losing game 1 can be overcome. When I was a rec player playing in tourneys, A lot of players higher level than me would lose game vs me, then cream me like egg whites for soufflé. |

I read something more strange, 80% of the times you score the 5th point you win the game.chinese have made very complex stats that work
