In early EJ days, i used to buy stuff that didn't work for me... and then buy something else.
Good thing now is ... i have several good options, either of them would work... although something may be slightly better. Blade.. i comitted a huge sum on Innerforce ZLC ... so kinda frozen now. oops that reminds me i will have to sell my photino. FH rubber Hexer+ or Tenergy. haven't played Hexer+ but having played Hexer, i am sure that a faster Hexer can't go wrong. BH..? Now that's a tough one. In favor of Vega Europe max: The divine feeling and control, appropriate speed for BH, nice click, very powerful loop returns on fast topspin serves to BH , blocks well, opening loops decent, but more importantly very good counter-looping close/mid/away from table. Weight is better than 64. Attacking BH lock serve used to be a major shortcoming of my game before Vega. In favor or Tenergy 64 1.9 1.9 speed is appropriate for my BH on fast ZLC blade, good blocking, slightly better than Vega opening loops, but the major differentiator is very strong serves, more bite than vega, and better backspin potential than Vega. Compared to Vega doesn't counter loop so well, feel is inferior to Vega Europe, otherwise same. BH Serve variation is a major strength in my game. So now what? |

yeah a tough one.....I know the feeling.Just because the BH serve is a major strength in my game too, I still can't retire the sticky rubbers on my BH, though I am absolutely aware of all the disadvantages playing with such

First I'd like to say that Tenergy 64 1.9 is no where near as good as the 2.1 IMO.
I don't know why but it just seems to me that there is less spin. From what I think you said, I'd say go for Vega Euro. If you only want tenergy for good serves it wouldn't make sense to buy it. It is much better to have a rubber that you can rally well with |

serves and heavy backspin push to unsuspecting 1700/1900 players. 2000+ would even judge that very well.

1.9 because in BH a fast rubber like t64, on a fast blade like innerforce zlc/v-6; requires extremely fast response. making flicks and attacking serve return difficult. i tried t64 2.1 on bh long time back.
fh wouldve been a different issue. |

well i don't put much emphasis on my backhand because i have a powerlooping style of play. Although i am trying to change to a two-winged looper. I serve with my forehand mostly with the occasional backhand serve to have a change of pace
Also I am rated 2054 and although they can see the spin i don't try to win from serves. they will read your serves anyway, which is why i put more emphasis on consistency and returning each ball. that is why i recommended Vega euro |
