i just ventured into the world of jpen with a Darker Speed 90 and a slow rubber in Tackiness Chop 1.9mm. however my total weight is only 125g which is nearly 50g lighter than my cpen!

wonder if jpenners here can share their blade total weights denoting their blade and rubber type... is mine really too light?

there's no such thing as too light, but it does mess up your timing.

Nah, that setup in my sig only lasted me 9 days before the rubbers wore out and the blade top ply splintered. I'm back to the Tenergies and the H3 Nationals now.

Oh I see. It was that because of the autograph of ZJK, MLong, Mlin, WLQ, WH, JO Waldner, Persson, Appelgreen, LGL, Timo, Maze, Mizutani, Zhang Jining damaged the top ply making it more sensible?

As a j-pen user switching to shakehand (for health reasons), I have the exact opposite problem.  The shakehand rackets all feel so darn heavy and unmaneuverable compared to what I'm used to.  I haven't weighed them, but I suspect my old rackets are in the 130 gm range just like the other posters'.  So imho you are on the right path with a ~130 gm j-pen setup.  Similar ones served me well for quite a few years.
