Ok equipment junkies, please endow me with your wisdom. I admit it, I have been continuing to speed glue this entire time but maybe it is time to move on (speed glue is like crack to me...i neeeeeed). I have been speed gluing Bryce Speed and Hammond X heavily on my Viscaria. I am pretty much set on Tenergy 25 front and maybe in back as well...but I would be open to a Nittaku replacement also for the BH...maybe Reanos Bright, but I have never used any Nittaku other than the hammonds and I have not heard anything about Reanos at all. Anyway, I am pretty sure that just changing the rubbers is not going to do the speed trick. Thus, I have also been playing around with the idea of getting a faster wood. How fast? I have no idea. I would like to stay with Butterfly, but I am not sure which one. Mizutani sounds just right, but is a tad too pricey and I have issues with wielding TT bling. Schlager Carbon seems like a good fit, but its such an extreme blade (thickness, weight) that it seems like a gamble, even though I'm looking for a lot of speed. I am worried Iolite, Ishlion, Photino would not be enough of a speed increase. Over the last 15 years I have only used two rackets a Keyshot and a Viscaria. I dabbled with a VSG-1000 for a few months but that doesnt really count much in the face of 15 years, so a new blade is a big deal for me, and I want to get it right. Help would be appreciated. |
