Hi all,
I've recently written down some thoughts about when to call a time-out in table tennis. You can check out the article at http://tabletennis.about.com/od/matchplayadvice/a/timeouts.htm Cheers, Greg |

Greg, you write and communcate sensibly.
I am among those who failed to take advantage of the rule. I feel I could have benefited from a timeout to ensure I was ready and decisive on serve strategy on my serve at 9-9 in the 5th game of the match several times. I underperformed by not planning and executing my serve and 3rd ball attack chances well enough, which led to duece and eventually losses each time. I probably could have prepared a much better serve and anticipation of a third ball to win both points, instead of one.
