I'm not talking about rubbers already sold like this. In the past some forum users would separate the h3 topsheet from the sponge with boiling water. same with a tenergy or tensor sponge. then create a new rubber with tacky topsheet and euro sponge. haven't seen anyone doing this for a while.

If it means anything, I've removed the topsheet of a Mantra S, leaving only the 1.7mm sponge behind. I then glued on a sheet of Palio CK531A. I won't be able to play with it for a while though. Gluing an inverted topsheet onto a sponge is too difficult for me and I know I'll mess it up. Gluing pips onto a sponge is very easy though.

From my experience I remember butterfly rubbers were almost impossible to separate. I also had a 729 rubber, this separated after seconds in the boiling water.

Brilliant title, just in case anyone would like to have even the slightest idea what your topic might be about... no no. You have to click on it. Eat that bait! Here's some of the things I thought your topic might be about: Where are my socks? Where are the long-promised messages sent by intelligent life originating from outwith our solar system? If we're ever going to invent time travel, where are all the time travelers from the future? Where are they!? Incidentally, I ended up buying a sheet of Blue Grip V1 from Tibi but haven't tried it yet. Can anyone comment how it would fare on the forehand for someone who has never played (for more than 10 minutes) with a Chinese rubber?
