Oh man, thanks for the link. It's great to see Desmond Douglas still out there and although we just saw him doing BH counters, he looks like he's still in good shape. Good leg muscles and still good waistline. It's unfortunate that styles like this, the pure blocking style, have essentially been eliminated. I did see that Chen Longcan made the QF of the 2007 U.S. Open so blocking is not completely dead. It always amuses me when I watch videos of Desmond dismantling strong loopers like the Mazunov brothers.

blocking... look at the japanese--mizutani and matsudaira. they block quite a bit and they're winning points with it. also, look at oh sang eun--he blocks at lot, too...

yes they're similar to Douglas, similar meaning they are allround players with great loops.
