In addition to Cao Wei, Chen Yuanyu lost to Sanil Shetty. Liu Yebo lost to Lam Siu Hang. Zeng Beixun lost to Manush Shah. On the women's side, in addition to previously mentioned Fan Shuhan, Zhang Xiangyu lost to Helga Dari. China brought a lot of players, but it hasn't been easy even in the qualifying stage.

Its a shady move. They are being asked not to play 100% to confuse opponents I heard this from Chinese B team coach. This tournaments are for evaluate progress of these players not the target.

Both Xiang Peng and Lin Shidong, especially the latter, are just as bad.
Their win rate make Harimoto look so much stronger. |

I think they are at least stronger than the other juniors, not that they have good winrates lol... Among the new gen of course Harimoto, Lin Yun Ju and Wang Chuqin are the strongest for sure.

I haven't watched the match yet, but like I've been telling you, CIC has been playing very well. You have to give her credit for taking down China's top junior 3-0. CIC is a former top 10 player who has dropped down significantly, but she's fighting to get back up there. You have to admire that.

I'm of course happy for Mima, but kudos to CIC for playing so well. That's a match worthy of a final. I think CIC's chances against anyone else in the draw are really good so it was a bit unfortunate that she met Mima in R16. Nonetheless, looks like her career is back on track so I'm happy for her.

Maybe Togami could have pulled off the upset if he had converted one of his game points in G3, especially at 10:7 when he missed an easy BH. Still lacking some mental toughness.
So far, he hasn't been able to disprove Zeio's claim that Togami = Zhou Qihao.

Togami has a mental hurdle he has to jump over. He definitely should have won game 3 with 4 game points. You cannot give a player like Karlsson any breathing room. He is ranked #21 for a reason. A powerful player who is not super consistent yet, but he has beaten the likes of Wang Chuqin and Hugo Calderano.
