It's an off-
It's not bad, the feeling is a bit like the korbel, but the korbel is better

from these forums everyone says everything feels like the korbel, then they say the korbel is better why is that??

if table tennis is to sports, what star wars is to movies, then you must be chewbacca.

Because a lot of people knows about and has tried the Korbel.. So it is a good blade to compare with.. Also it is a very good blade, so it's better than a lot of blades..
Blade: Butterfly M. Maze Off ST

Couldn't have said it better :p
I'm comparing to the korbel in terms of the medium feel. Though I think the yasaka feels a bit softer.
For me the korbel is better because it's faster, control is better and looping is just as easy (didn't try the same rubbers on both blades). Also the mark V I tried was lighter, and I like them heavier

I've noticed that almost all swedish wood blades have that "bong" sound when hitting. With stiga it's kinda like a hollow sound.

I'm not sure the mark V sounds like that though...

The Yasaka Mark v Special edition I believe was originally produced for use with Mark V, as part of  the Yasaka Gatien Mk V; one of the better premade buys on the market.

Because the premade has got a reputation as one of the better buys for its price, their was interest shown in the blade itself, so it was released in the US as the Yasaka Mark V Special Edition.

The only place i can recall seeing it listed is at Paddle palace

http://www.paddlepalace.com/product.asp?dept%5Fid=7+++++++++&pf%5Fid=SYMK&RootDepartment=Blades

It's a 5 ply about 5.8mm thick and my one weighs 98 grams, with a total weight of 181 grams when shod with 2mm Mark V both sides.

Decent enough blade with Mark V, particularly backhand, but I feel it would benefit from rubbers with better control and spin on the forehand than Mk V.
