does he scream at every match and point won like HT?

No, he screams when it's becoming hot and..not from the first point of the match, not on bad mistakes from the opponent

Only in the last set, that meant so much to him, cut him some slack bro

Well then people should also cut harimoto some slack. Harimoto screams because every match and every point means so much to him as well just like LJK. That actually means that Harimoto is an incredibly respectful player as every match to him no matter the player is of the same importance as the finals.

Mean so much for him? So thats the excuse? There never has been so much people complaining about a player like harimoto and dont tellme he does it because he s 15. Check the boll video

I'm just really sick of seeing all this negative talk about Harimoto like he's the most evil person in the world. He's just a kid for christs sake ! And no i'm not from Australia.

I think many people do not like Harimoto's scream because he screams like he has an organism or like he is high on drug.

Most people scream, but just like a human scream for pump up. For that kind of Harimoto scream, it is cute and fine if he is still 10 years old, but will he scream like that when he is 20 or 30 years old?

A child will be called cute even if he is playing with dog shit, but certainly not when he is 15 years old.

IMO hiding ones serve with head or shoulder is a bigger sin than screaming

The ittf rulebook also does not say screaming is prohibited. Harimoto haters' bitchings simply should be ignored.

Well, my policy is not to respond to people talking ( and thinking) like a 10 years old when he might be 20 or 50 years old, but just for once.

Well, the ITTF rulebook doesn't say touching your own private after each point is prohibited, either. In baseball, some pitchers always do that after each pitch. That might be one of the reasons why the catchers always wear gloves. Wink

Well said. What is against the rules and what is decent are not the same. With that being said, I don't think HT is a terrible person but for sure not someone I would idolize.

THE DEATH OF THE SPORT. SORRY.

Li Jingkun struggling vs Fang Zhendong, funeral moan about the sport. Rally deceased after each single stroke.   My sincere condolences.

Congrats to Liang Jingkun and Chen Meng for rising through the competition of super players and coming out on top.

LJK breaking FZD's dominance is a breath of fresh air. Only goes to show that you can never be complacent. Pushing through to take down XX is only a confirmation of a new power force in the making. I look forward to more of his advanced level of performance.

CM so convincingly outperforming WMY, who has been a dominating player for some time, shows that she's capable of being the very best. List of the other top Chinese players she had to overcome to get to the final is also very impressive: ZYL, LSW and CXT, all of whom have had a win against her in the past.

One thing is for sure; table tennis landscape is always changing. Who knows what the future will bring? Super hero performance is such a difficult feat to achieve. Didn't they say that even the monkey can fall from a tree?

Only a matter of time before LJK becomes top 10. In this tournament, he took out WR#1,2,9 and 10. Besides the obvious power, he plays very aggressively, but controlled, and showed good touch. This must have been a huge confidence boost for him. That mental block of not winning an international tournament is now gone.

I was pleasantly surprised at how quick, but controlled CM's bh was today. Did not expect her to blank WMY. This will be an interesting competition for the 2nd Olympic spot for CNT womens singles.

Was pleasantly surprised at Liang Jingkun, I've always thought he had the potential to make it big but he always underperformed his true level (not sure if it's experience or mental) because he was a monster in the Chinese superleague who has beaten pretty much everyone. This could be the big break that he needs to up his confidence level. Next year's WTTC will be very interesting indeed! Will he be ZJK no.2 and go all the way starting from a dark horse position?!

The problem with Liang Jingkun is that he can only beat CNT players only Dead

If you look back at his results, who he has beaten and who he has lost to, it's almost ridiculous he is not already top 10.

Chen Meng's world ranking will rise from #4 to #3, passing Ishikawa, when next ranking update coming out in early December from ITTF.  (Ishikawa currently is ranked World #3, and CM is #4.)

December 2018 rating list ..WS...(approximately!)

Z.Y.L.                16224
D.N.                  15939
ISHIKAWA         15248
C.M.                  15194
WANG M.           14880
L.S.W.               14589
ITO Mima           14135
...
nr.10-F.T.           12835
...
nr.12-C.X.T.        11940

ISHIKAVA and С.M. got the right to take part in the Grand Final, in singles ....

But in the ranking for January 2019 С.M., the points scored at last year's Grand Final,12/2017, (2550) will be replaced by those she receives at this Grand Final,12/2018 ....
Even winning this Grand Final, С.M. add to his rating a maximum of 0 points ....Rating points will remain the same ....
ISHIKAVA will at least retain its points, it has no deductions for December 2017 ...

CM just won Austrian Open (a world tour premium) while Ishikawa lost much earlier.
Why Ishikawa will still be above CM in terms of Ranking Points?

It's an accumulation of points for the trailing 12 months, but CM is closing in fast.

In calculating the rating for December 2018, CM has points deduction for 11/2017
2250 German Open 11/2017
The minimum eighth result is 1260 (1/2018, Hungarian Open)

Former rating С.M. -15014
Rating 12/2018:
15015+2250(Austria 11/2018 - 2250(German Open 11/2017) + (1440,Sweden 11/2018-1260,
1/2018, Hungarian Open) = 15014+(0)+(+180) = 15194

ISHIKAWA - former rating 15263
1800 deduction  (German Open 11/2017)
replacement from reserve -1785(12/2017,Grand-Final) = (-15)
December rating  - 15263 -15 = 15248

You know what would be great?  It would be super nice for ITTF to have a link that when clicked goes to a next month's projected ranking page.  They already have all of the data so it's trivial for them to compute the rankings.  I hope someone at the ITTF is reading this.
