Two or three years ago, the marvelous 12 are kind of the best players in the world. But this year, it is hard to say so.

LGY was the black horse last time. Who will be it this time? I feel that this event is becoming a chicken rib that no one really enjoys.

This event will have 1 million yuan (150k dollar) for men's and women's winner. I don't think any event can match that price.

On a side note, in ITTF published 2019-2020 events, nothing in US. Is that because the US doesn't care TT or US give a little award to attract best players in the world (China and Japan)?

I'm pretty worried about his form right now. The WTTC is a couple of months away and that knee injury has been nagging him for how long? You don't just come out of a hiatus and play in a WTTC..

Remember that Timo Boll had knee injury, took a surgery, and got stronger. Why did not ML just do that? LJK has a good chance to win it this time. FZD has been playing like unlike FZD lately. Not sure whether this is his bottom  and he will bounce from here now.

Thanks guys.

Is there a website that tracks match results? Preferably in English or with Google translate working on it (non-flash).

EDIT: hm, it looks like http://sports.qq.com/kbsweb/index.htm#100109 has the results.
No overall table, but good enough.

WangNan and ChenBin are the commentators for today. Lixiaoxia was for yesterday. ZhangYiNing maybe for tomorrow.

WangNan: "I'm not very close to FZD, but last time on the Marvellous 12, 2017, I met him in the elevator, he lost some match on the first two days and was so disappointed, i told him you still have matches later on, you have a lot of chance. and finally he got good result and he sent message to thank me. I think he's got very high EQ, a good boy, but i think if he is a bad boy, maybe he will play better than now. ...

these points FZD is too haste, he should learn from MaLin especially on the first 3 shots, MaLin calculate the first 3 shorts so rigor, never miss one...."

Most of FZD's wins are on the 5th game. Many times he lost his balance during play. Don't think he is at his best ATM.

You can watch it live at the ITTF channel at youtub too without the Chinese commentating. The match between WMY and CM is worth watching.

Why did Jingkun yielded the game to FJD ??

To an expert eye, Liang Jingkun sufferred a lot from the Classical Grip to which he is forced by his coach.
This is an obsolete grip to freeze your wrist, not good for the plastic ball. (by making your wrist less flexible).     Some advanced china trainers now switched to the Progressive Grip.

Be happy.

FZD studied LJK's game very well in this match. He played with a lot of variation, especially with slow balls.
