It appears that there is no live stream available as usual.

I found the tournament homepage, but the sites are japanese and google translate didn't help. Are any japanese readers available that can tell us how we can access the live streams on the site and perhaps tell us about the more interesting matches from the schedule? It's frustrating. ITTF, ETTU and DTTB-sanctioned live matches are relatively easy to access but the two strongest TT nations do not offer a single page in english. Edited by Nonsmoker - 01/15/2021 at 8:20am |

Harimoto has lower back injury, that is what the news said.
Mizuki Oikawa has better footwork and more power. Look at his legs, twice as big as Harimoto's?

One of the worst games I have ever seen Harimoto play....the other player played very well also.
Bad combination

Oikawa had a monster BH that game, but that is also related to the poor shot quality from Harimoto which allowed him the freedom to do so.

Oikawa has beaten Boll in the Bundesliga before - not exactly chopped liver...

It was like no love lost at the end of it. Kasumi 4 Ito 3. Exciting final game though.

If you watch Harimoto's other matches, he isn't playing his usual level. It is clear he wants to win, but maybe he is tired, injured slightly or something else.

Mizuki Oikawa has an impressive Kreanga like full arm backhand loop!

MIGHTY CAT.
Mighty Pad (mima ito) released a mouse. -- Well, I let you go away, you, poor one. I am a Gracy Queen. The Cat spoke in sweet voice. |

Yes, his BH loop is a monster. I would say that the full circular movement looks a bit like how Fan Zhendong's BH looks like. The final was so good!

Haha! Yeah, Kasumi was playing as if to say “You still have to go through me!” Great job by Ishikawa. She showed that she is no second fiddle. She also put notice that she is still very relevant. It was a great performance by Oizuki but I feel bad for my guy Morizono. He is so flamboyant and eclectic. I was really rooting for him. Tough 6th game. I wonder if a timeout would have helped. Also, he should have used the off-paced BH block more. Sorry, I’m armchair coaching :) |

Hi,
Who did Kasumi play in the semifinal? Thanks. [For me, the best women's player in Japan is Hina Hayata, also with the most potential. The structure of her game is the best, and she has excellent coaches developing her.]

I agree. That wide serve from lefty to the wide righty FH had been working all match. So Masa picked the right serve at that moment. Oizuki was ice cold though.

Nah Oikawa has a better BH than Kreanga. But it's nowhere near tier 1 (FZD, LJK, Ovtcharov) level imo. |
