I'd like to try a Butterfly rubber from the Bryce series on my 1-Ply J-Pen blade, as I heard that old Japanese rubbers work great on these kind of woods. Also, I never tried one before, so it would be quite interesting, I think. Wink

Currently, these ones are available:

-Bryce (35°)
-Bryce FX (32°)
-Bryce Speed (38°)
-Bryce Speed FX (32°)
-Bryce HighSpeed (35°)

I cannot get both Bryce Speed and Bryce Speed FX in Germany, since they aren't available anymore.

Which one would you recommend (and why) to try for someone who likes to play fast and spinny balls?

Bryce is like H3 it needs speed glue.  It is still really fast without speed glue but doesn't spin . If you want something that is fast has a med/low throw and good spin get T64 or D64. The only advantage Bryce has over new rubbers is that it's light weight.

I'm amazed Butterfly still sells it.  It was great with speed glue and was designed for it.  It was state of the art in 2007.

How would Bryce HighSpeed do with Falco? would it spin then?

I tried High Speed when it first came out. It had a  low arc and average/low spin. I didn't try boosting it cause it feels on the soft side already. Looking back it might be an ok BH option. Personally there are a lot of other rubbers that are cheaper and better.

Is there also any cheaper alternative to T64/D64, such as Tibhar Evolution MX-P, Xiom Omega VII Tour, ITC PowerCell Ultra 45/48 or Tmount Ace 1/2? (Tenergy and Dignics are quite expensive, but Bryce is cheaper, also a reason for my question.)

BTW, what about BTY Sriver? How is it compared to Bryce and Tenergy?

The best Bryce is no Bryce. If you are using a Butterfly rubber and it doesn't say Tenergy or Dignics on it, you probably made a mistake.
Blade - Yasaka Sweden Extra FL
Forehand - Mizuno Q5 2.1mm
Backhand - Xiom Vega Europe DF 1.8mm
