I've not tried any of the 3* Butterfly balls. How do the G40+ compare to the newer A40+ balls?
Has anyone tried both to compare?

To me A40 feels harder and doesn't get smooth/polished like the G40

A40+ are the new ABS balls with many comparables from DHS and DFish. G40+ balls are destined for the mortuary.
I like putting heavy topspin on the ball...

A40+ is made in china, so may be just a rebanded D40+ or V40+

For me A40+ is way better than g40+ which sounds broken all the time and get glass smooth very quickly. A40+ is also better than V40+ in terms of consistency and quality but they fade very quickly and lose the bright white color.

D40+ is still my favorite ball for the price in terms of consistency and quality. I think A40+ play very similar to the D40+.

I am at the low-intermediate level and can switch between BFY A40+, DHS D40+, and Gambler P40+ without any adjustments.
I hate the G40+ ball that many of the better players in my club sadly prefer.
Fortunately many agree to hit with my A40+ (they think higher of BFY vs DHS).

I am OK with the Nittaku Premium 40+ but is a bit different vs. DHS 40+;
my guess is that the Nittaku is slightly more bouncy and less spiny.

I wonder when Bty sponsored clubs will start usung the A40+ for tournaments. Triangle, MDTTC, and WDCTT all use the G40+. And to me that's an unplayable ball, like the pre-ABS DHS balls.

Same situation in Russia and Portugal. I guess not until they work through their leftover G40+ stock...

The best guess is: When the warehouse is G40+ empty.

I can get used to almost any ball, except for the G40+. That is the one ball I refuse to play with.

To me, it is on the same level as the old egg shaped balls we played with back in the Soviet Union days.
