Has any of you been having fun with Google's recently released AI (Artificial Intelligence) tool call Chat GPT  ?

I was able to make it generate several incorrect comments about tabletennis & also was able to cause it to generate errors.

You guys should give it a try.

It's by OpenAI, not Google.  I've tried it, it's a fun tool.

yeah, I happened to bookmark the site yesterday to try in the future.  I think it will be able to teach us how to correctly do the Chinese forehand (not).

lol I just asked it this and this is quite wrong...

how to perform a Chinese forehand loop

A Chinese forehand loop is a table tennis shot that involves swinging the racket back behind your body and then forwards to hit the ball, generating topspin. Here are the steps to perform a Chinese forehand loop:
  1. Stand in a comfortable and balanced stance, facing the table with your knees slightly bent.

  2. Hold the racket with a relaxed grip, using the backhand grip for a forehand shot.

  3. As the ball approaches, step forward with your front foot and turn your body sideways, facing the net.

  4. Start your backswing by lifting the racket back behind your body, with your elbow pointing upwards.

  5. As the ball reaches the peak of its trajectory, quickly snap your wrist and arm forward, making contact with the ball on the rise.

  6. Follow through by finishing the shot with a smooth and controlled motion, keeping your eye on the ball until it lands on the opponent's side of the table.

Remember to practice the shot regularly to develop a smooth and consistent technique, and vary your shot placement and speed to keep your opponent guessing.

I guess the Chat GPT is not ready to takeover  TT  coaching yet.  Forget the world.

on a superficial level, I am glad it won't eliminated my job (won't mention what it is) yet, as an internet article suggest it will.
