Can anyone tell me if Yinhe has a paddle that matches the Butterfly Viscaria? Mine is pretty old with a chip in the handle and I want to replace it but the price is too steep for me right now.

Thanks.

Others will know better than I, but having done some reading up on the K-series I have seen some who say the K-5 is close to Viscaria.

The K-6 (6.0mm) is closer to the Viscaria in thickness and speed than K-5 (6.8mm).

After looking at the specs again it looks as though the K-4 is closest to Viscaria, but is called a TBS clone by many.
Of course many say the TBS is a Viscaria, incognito.

Hey guys, thanks for the suggestions. I'll look into those. Do you know if the head size is slightly bigger than the BTY blades?

I forgot to ask what was OOAK?

In regards to the k-4-6 blades, they should be better then the blades there supposed to be a clone of. The reason is that instead of using Kevlar with carbon like BTY does, they used Kevlar with zylon carbon witch is much better than regular carbon since its more flexible, has longer dwell time, much more control and it's springy.

A lot of people liked K-4 more than TBS, so it seems like a good explanation

The Butterfly website says that zylon carbon is better for loopers than regular carbon.

This is strange. The TBS doesn't use Kevlar. And I can't think of any BTY blades that do use it.

Zylon is an alternative to Kevlar.

Kevlar and Aramid are the same thing.

http://www.yourdictionary.com/aramid

Aramid and Arylate, I think, are the same thing.

Also I think that Kevalr is only one form of an Arylate/Aramid. Titanium (not the metal alone) is another
form.

I'm in a dilemma choosing between K4 and K5. Can someone tell me which one has good flex and overall better for looping with chinese rubber on forehand?

I am guessing the K-4; it is thinner and should provide a bit more lift.

The K-4 has also been replaced by the V-14 (Venus.14) in 2010, though the V-14 is a few grams heavier (The K-4 tended to come a bit heavier than reported so my guess is that the change is to match reality).

The K-4 also has a blue and yellow checkered handle, while the V-14 has a yellow and black vertical swoosh.

The wood type on the new Galaxy blades is "Wenge" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wenge).  They look to be about ~$160 or so in the US.  The composite layers are "nano-carbon" and the they have a wrapped edge like the new Andro blades.  These are part of Galaxy's efforts to create super high quality products and change the perception they they just copy what others are doing.

I have not had a chance to play with one yet, but I have 8 of them coming in any day now and am looking forward to writing a review here.  =)
