I was asking galaxy last night for their nicest one ply hinoki. They showed me this picture and told me it retailed for whatever number of cny...I think it was like 2900. My cost would be half of that which is around $200. They said it was made with awesome japanese cuts that can't even be had anymore. I'm sure not looking to stock $200 blades, but I thought some serious one ply aficionados (sp?) might enjoy at least looking at the picture:

Well, it's 2.4mb and this site has a 1 meg limit. When I get home I'll upload it to my site and make a link here. But suffice it to say it does look nice.

Please let me know if I can be of assistance.

The picture is of a whole kit. It comes with a little keychain and it's in a fancy wooden box. You can only see the top side of the blade. Maybe I can cut out just the blade part and post it, then post a scaled down pic of the whole setup.

Everest81, yes, that is also reason enough, but i believe the weight will be more than 85 grams.

I wouldn't worry about the weight.  You can tell looking at the grain of the wood that they're going to weigh in the high 80s or even low 90s.  With that much dense wood in the head, they balance is going to be very, very head-heavy with most most 2.1 or "max" rubbers.  IMO, these will balance better with either SP or very light <2.0 rubbers.  I've been trying out a lot of "hinoki" blades lately and starting to make this observation for myself.  You'll notice on our standard 5-ply blades balance is shifted toward the handle, so when we use 2.1 or "max" rubbers, they still don't feel too bad on the balance.  One-ply blades can be awesome to use, but I would be careful about spending this much on a blade that might have balance issues with my favorite rubbers.  Anyway, this is only my opinion and hope it helps those looking for an excuse not to spend this much on one blade.
