i decided to concentrate on improving rather than collecting blades, so i all i have now is an Amultart SI and a brand new Butterfly T5000-CS that just came today. I also have a few YEO pens lying around, but they're nothing special. |

Wow, so glad this thread got the old 2-year-bump. Some of the seksiest blades I've ever seen are contained within this thread. Too bad you had to let them all go. What does your collection look like these days, dalamchops?

OC CR is avg in speed, terrible vibration (IMO) so i hate the feel. Rutis is a hard g-carbon blade that's pretty fast (played like 15 minutes), so dunno much about it. Photino feels hard, plays a little softer and vibrates like a wood blade but not as much. Good pace, but it was not as easy to produce spin as YEO. YEO is just perfect for me, words can't describe it ;p i have 3 of those already. |

and how wide was the sidetape you used for it. Is there a way to work out which sidetapes would fit different blades. Would you use one thats a bit wider or just about exactly the same as the blades thickness

I just wish it was lighter. But i like it very much, one of the faster rubbers i've used, and it's probably the 2nd EASIEST to play with after Solcion. When i loop, the ball travels in an unusually short arc so it makes it really easy to land on the table.
I read somewhere that someone was complaining how bad the short game is because it feels dead... that just doesn't make too much sense. It's definitely got a very strong short game because for that reason, it has so many gears. Anyways, pretty awesome rubber besides the price and weight. I expect good durability coming from Butterfly. I think i'll put something up for Auction towards charity for my 1000th post ;p |
