I have the Red Energyforce III's. They were alot sexier before everybody and their cousin got them....

I was the one of the first in my area to get them, as I got them from iruiru before they were available in America.

Actually there is some truth in this.
After WW2, there were Brit & Yank Allied peace-keeping forces stationed in Japan.
Brit soldiers would get more attention from the local lovelies & one reason was their shoes/boots.
The Brits were required by military protocol/tradition to always have clean well polished boots while the Yanks did not.
The Japanese ladies showed a clear preference for soldiers with good & polished footwear.
Yanks soldiers started bartering stuff for Kiwi with the Brits.

Nah.
Wave Drive 4's are new. The inner lining is coloured now. 3's have a silver inner lining. Wave Drive 2's have a different stitching pattern on the toe.

It's a bit pricey these days.

If you're in Aus (or if you don't mind paying postage), Rob at affordablett has a Dawei clone of them, called the Saviga. They're a bit garish being silver all over, but they're pretty much identical to my Wave Drive 3's.

I had the predecessor to these before - the Yonex shb99MX. Nice, but I found that the lateral claw thingy still broke under the strain of fast side-side movement, which my mizunos haven't.

I don't know about table tennis shoes but in Holland you can get Mizuno indoor shoes in lots of stores.

Very lightweight. Quite low to the ground and grippy.
I have had to make a minor superglue repair or two because of the design, aside from this they are nearly perfect for ME.

The shoes come with white and red laces, I changed them to white so they actually look nice.  Also they do look a little like clown shoes, because the laces are too tight in the picture, mine are much looser and don't have the clown look.    Check out the Stiga  Pro Play shoes, they look like clown shoes.
