I use Orbit to record streaming videos from DTTL and the ITTF.

Everything was working normally until last week, but now I can not download the videos from ITTV with any software

What software are you using?

Can't believe that Vladi beat both Ma Long and Chen Qi (especially Ma) - he must have really had changed his rubbers... perhaps it will be some good boost for his confidence now. However, his next big chance is 1.5 years away (next WTTC) so I doubt his new improved mood will last until then... alas.

I got the impression that Samsonov REALLY want to win. Look at his face when he finished off Ma Long, his face clearly indicated "who said I can't win!"

Ma long missing that easy wide open forehand winner, when Samsanov was off balance, was the difference in the game

Oh, puhleeeeezzzze....

Stop making excuses for the rest of the field.  VS didn't get to the finals by not being very good.  You can't predict what would have happened if Wang Hao or Ma Lin or J. O. Waldner were in the tourney.  And it doesn't matter.

Samsonov played very well and deserved to to win.  It was his tourney, it was his time.

the only reason why he won was because of his experience and the reason why chen qi and ma long lost because samsonuvs game got to them he irritated them so much they started losing their biggest strength their drives they were missing the table but ma lin and wang hao would not hav done the same thing as we have seen in the past

"The only reason..."  Really?  That's so weak.

Prove that Samsonov would have lost.  Prove that other players would have beaten him.  Its all academic.  (Obviously not possible.)

Making excuses for Samsonov winning?  Why not just accept that he was the best player in the tourney?

If you think about it, almost all the player has chance to win, the tournament result in Samsonov's victory isn't that surprising.

Despite of Chinese player's higher chance of victory, you can't ignore that no one can 100% guaranty win when one against another in such high level playing.

Ma Long is very good, but he made some mistakes that cost him the match completely.

1. Samsonov's forehand defense is good with wide angle return. Ma Long knew its coming whenever he loop drive straight down the line. If Ma long didn't hit toward Samsonov's body close enough, Ma still get a wide angle return. (this match is favoured for Samsonov's blocking skill)

2. He was hurrying too much for the ball in the last game; missed 2 attack that should not have be there. Missed 2 ball in last match means Samsonov caught up and also boosted Samsonov's moral instead.

Last note, Samsonov's attack is getting better, especially he flip kill quite a few, and it really can pressure the opponent even more.

Either way, no matter what rubber he used or how nervious anyone was it was a master class in the game you need to play to beat the Chinese (if you can put the ball back on the table long enough sooner or later you will win)

that's :

Liu Guoliang decided to give more chance to young players.

Well, three birds with one stone.

- The younger players get more experience.
- The Europeans win, therefore garnering more interest in the sport, and therefore sending more and more talented players to play table tennis, which is exactly what the Chinese want, more strong competitors.
- Ma Long now has a goal, and that is to beat Vladimir Samsonov a whole lot in order to settle his score. This can be a big motivator!

I got the Eurosport Russian TV videos from torrents.ru - two QFs, both SFs, final and some portion of the 3rd place match.

But the files are huge - for some reason they are in VOB format so I will need to recode them and shrink a bit before trying to upload.

Some Chinese predict MaLong (and WLQ) will fear Samsonov for ever, this is the consequences of wrong training strategy of Beijing province team.
I don't know whether they are right or not.
