With glue, MarkV is great rubber. But somehow, I prefer Sriver EL over MarkV (non-glue).

I said Galaxy W6 early in the thread.
It bears repeating. The dwell time on this blade is VERY good.

tdragon, it seems to me that people have troubles to trust you. bty primorac off- is very good example and answer.

High dwell time increasing spin has also bty timo boll spark, but its behaviour is specific since it is arylate blade. Softer and lighter violins are also very flexible with high dwell, but their harder outter plies make them not so suitable, esp. with soft rubbers.

I cant understand recommendation like p.korbel, or 7ply blade. It is against my logic.

Here are some blades that have lots of dwell time in the OFF to OFF- range:

BTY Timo Boll Spark
BTY Bazelart (I think this is the same as the Spark... Arylate, Limba, 5.4mm thick...)
BTY Balsa Carbo X5
BTY ZLF (fast but not too fast)
Darker 7P2A.05

I've tried these blades and found them very dwelly and they can create lots of topspin.

I agree with Tomas.gt.

Korbel definitely is not good dwell time blade. Oh Sang Eun plays(ed) with it and he is a typical fast blocker where dwell time is not so suitable - it would eat spin when blocking and also block wouldnt be so fast and direct.

I have quite rich experience with following woods sorted by dwelltime from highest to lowest:

Timo Boll Spark
Butterfly Primorac
Samsonov Alpha
Donic Dicon
Petr Korbel

What I liked and disliked: I am a looper and when passive a blocker.

Spark and Primorac had plenty of dwell, but sometimes it annoyed me when I wanted to play direct strokes and blocks. These blades had best control, this was my feeling.

Samsonov Alpha was ok for everything but it had a lot of vibration to my hand during drives, I felt like it was going to crack. Very good for counterloops.

Dicon has harder feel, but still is flexy. Very good for blocks or for fast loops. I play with it now and it suits my style. Dwell is here with faster shots(bending of blade when looping) and passive shots like blocks have it less (harder feel).

Korbel I tried not so long, but it was quite stiff for me, good for blocking and hitting, not especially for looping, but ok.

729 Bomb, maybe because of the cork core or the balsa surounding, has great dwell time. I think if someone looks for this should consider only wood blades(no carbon inside).

I'm very surprised Korbel is being mentioned. It's so thick and doesn't bend much at all.

These are the 3 most spin generating off- blades I've used.

I would probably go with an old stiga or banda type limba if you want a lot of dwell but still flexy looping power.

W6 is kind of a hard outer. It has flex time looping but blocks and such come off quick.

Had most dwell time with Yasaka Extra 3D. Was pretty slow on far-table play though.

It is because there is a Crescent Moon, thus giving us forumers the Blood Lust to crack Open Count Dracula's coffin with a Tanker's bar after creeping up on it in stealth... then sifting through the native soil.

It must be experienced by many firsthand.

+1. I can't find a blade with more dwell than my old Donic Waldner. It has limba outer, spruce secondary, is 5.4-5.5mm and flexes like crazy. Much more dwell than any of my other blades including-- Yasaka Extra, Donic Allplay, Avalox BT550, Dicon, WSC. Maybe Grubba All- can come close but I prefer Waldner wood for speed and control.
