    Posted: 11/18/2009 at 4:34pm
Hey guys,

I'm looking for a BH rubber. I mostly loop and block from the BH and I'm using a 550 Blue thunder blade. My level is around 1700-2000 but that's thanks to my FH. My BH is probably around 1200-1400.

Anyone have used Globe 999 Special Pro Version for National Team
and comment on it? Either FH or BH?

I'm looking at this website: http://ttnpp.com/shop/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=4_83.

If you can recommend any rubber from this website (The chinese rubbers) for my BH, I would greatly appreciate it.

In addition, I don't want a particularly fast rubber on my BH, I just want to develop a nice and consistent BH.

It is a very nice rubber, indeed close to H3 Pro. But it is very heavy... also very tacky and spinny. Hard-sponged if you are not tuning it up ...

Frankly I do not think this is a very good rubber for BH (especially if you are  around 1400 level there). Get something softer and more forgiving. If you like mildly tacky rubbers get LKT Rapid Soft or Palio CJ8000 Biotech 36-38 Japanese Sponge or Tuttle Beijing II 38. If it turns out to be a tad too soft for you, get Darker VLON-S Silver or LKT Rapid Speed or a slightly harder sponged versions of Palio or Tuttle rubbers I mentioned above.

Don't go with chinese rubber on your backhand, I agree with Jimt.

LOL... all the rubbers I recommended for his BH are Chinese (except Darker). You probably meant that he shouldn't play with old-style hard Chinese rubbers. If that's your suggestion then I do agree there...

Hey Jim, that website doesn't have the beijing 2. They only have the 3. Do you think the 3 with purple sponge, is a good BH rubber? Would it be a good rubber for a not-so-good BH?

That website looks strikingly similar to pingpongonline.com but there are different rubbers on here.  Where is this one out of?

I have no idea but I have seen some members mention this shop before - saying they bought stuff from them already. At least, it didn't disappear right after they did that Tongue

This shop is reliable! I can vouch for it. Communication was not very fast, but still manageable. The shipping was very fast. I had ordered Haifu Water Solubility Bond from their shop.

I have used Globe 999 national on the forehand for a while and it is great. Unfortunately they have not come out with a tuned version yet but it looks like this is what the Chinese team is using for 999 now:

I will be buying this and trying it out soon.
