Is it new though, it looks very much like a Zhang Jike SZLC to me. See this video at 2.41 |

The design of the handle is one of the Zhang Jike series. which is "Zhang Jike ALC" there are different models of the Zhang jike series t500, zlc, alc https://butterflyonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/Zhang-Jike-Blade-Series.jpg Also Miu Hirano from Japan uses Hurricane 3 on her FH.

I had the suspicion for awhile that Hirano switched but I had trouble finding photo proof, but now I finally have photo proof http://twitter.com/tvtokyo_tt/status/1005322576699068416 I think it was a mistake of her to switch because her game just seems too slow now, but what do I know.

This picture is from the WTTC in Halmstad earlier this year. Safe to say that he switched rubbers.

I know the blade, I meant the rubber.
Czech Open 2017, he was using 05-FX on backhand. He also played an 05-FX at the 2018 WTTC in Halmstad

No I never talked to him. I think he switched to T05 (non FX) after the WTTC. The forehand rubber is either some "National Version" or an unreleased Butterfly rubber.

So is his blade fiber ALC or ZLC / SZLC? Also, is it of Innerforce type?

Butterfly just says "Custom ALC", but I believe it is technically an Innerforce Layer ALC with Zhang Jike ALC handle.

What is the point of having a handle of one Butterfly blade, on another Butterfly blade? I can understand if they use a handle of the brand of their sponsor, onto the blade of their choice, but if they're the same brand, why bother?

According to Butterfly its an Innerforce-Type ALC blade, custom made for him. It's definitely inner-layer composite. Apparently he switches back and forth between T05 and T05-FX on BH - the big question is, what rubber is he now using on the forehand. Butterfly logo, but no Tenergy logo at the Japan Open.

Guys seriously... That is a tenergy rubber, the writing is just super unclear. You can faintly make out the Y at the end - we just need a better quality picture. I will bet my tuition fees that it isn't some kind of secret butterfly rubber if he isn't even using on the backhand either, sigh

Been staring at this for 15 minutes. Maybe it actually says Tenergy and its just an optical illusion.
In that case, its' T05/T05.
