Yeah, I think he plays 2 05 as well. I am really confused. Maybe you are right, it may be an optical ilussion.

I think that Xu Xin changed his paddle again from Stiga Offensive NCT
It looks like YEO in this video. I think his backhand rubber changed too

That shot does look different, but there are a couple of close ups earlier in the video where he's serving and the handle looks red and black.

does anyone know what blade does WLQ use??

i watched the Asia vs Europe Wang Liqin vs Samsonov and CSL2010 Wang Liqin vs Chen Qi and the blade face was yellow/white colored (regular)... it wasnt dark like the stiga oc/dhs hk.

also his fh rubber in Asia vs Europe was blue sponge... h2/h3 neo?

can anyone confirm?

I saw a couple consecutive matches fairly recently where he used what was obviously a Ludeack (not Pro or Power, just a regular Ludeack). Then I saw him using a blade with an HK handle but it was still noticeably a seven-ply, so I'm assuming he just stuck an HK handle on the Ludeack. I cannot remember which matches these were so I apologize that I cannot back up my statement... but maybe there are others who saw the same (or something similar) who can point you in the right direction. This was a couple months ago so he may have changed his blade multiple times since then. Ermm

Well... I'm sure he uses H2... so probably a H2 NEO Blue Sponge. But you can get a similar rubber from here if you like: http://www.pingpongonline.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=65_85_132&products_id=8849

cool... good luck.

about WLQ:
1. Why is he using a TBS instead of his trademark DHS HK?? :P
2. Do you think it is an original TBS or some modified one. On that note, is Ma Long's TBS a modified one or is it the real deal?

Before Butterfly made the Schlager Carbon, Werner was playing the Primorac Carbon. In order for the Schlager Carbon to be different from the Primorac Carbon, Butterfly produced the Schlager Carbon blade with a slightly thicker inner ply. This of course brought the weight up. Werner likes his blades to be exactly 91 grams and the Primorac Carbon is exactly 91 grams while the Schlager Carbon is 95 - 96 grams. So, in order for him to play with a blade with his name on, they actually put Schlager Carbon handles on a Primorac Carbon for him..
For someone at a sub world class level, I doubt that they would even notice the difference between the Primorac an Schlager Carbon blade.. They are basically identical except for the inner ply which is only slightly thicker on the Schlager Carbon.. He does NOT have a special made blade (other than the handle with his name).. It actually is a off the shelf Primorac Carbon with only the handle being difference.. His rubbers (Tenergy 05) are also off the shelf Tenergy 05 rubbers..

I met Schlager in Romania..He was playing with a special Schlager Carbon Off + ( a lighter blade) with Tenergy 05 on both sides. I know that because i took some pictures with this blade compared with my Schlager Carbon Off +.
I have a good friend who has a good friend in Adrian Crisan' s brother and he told me that no pro player use regular materials...for example, Adrian Crisan use now a Chuan Chih- Chuan blade with Tenergy 05 on fh and Bryce speed fx on bh...but there are both special made for pro players.

Special Schlager Carbon Off+ (lighter blade-0.5mm thinner) means ... Primorac Carbon with SC handle.
Schlager Carbon and Primorac Carbon are exactly the same except that PC is 0.5mm thinner.
