Okay, thank you for the information. Not so surprised that he uses Tenergy but I did not know he was using the Carbonado. Is he sposored?

To me this makes no sense. Most blades have a weight range and so if you have 10 o so you can find one at the weight you want. DHS can build Ma Long what he wants in terms of weight. Players choose the blade they like best based on how it feels to them. |

To coppa2000: What I meant is that kara's blade has the new Stiga logo at the bottom of his handle and not that he uses carbonado.
To Baal: Agree that the top professionals can get any kind of customization on their blades. That's why it's very difficult to know what they use. Especially when it comes to blades. |

He's been using TSP Swat Power for a few months now. Still using it at the ATTC as far as I could see. |

According to Butterfly Japan (they are pretty/very reliable and don't lie on player equipments (like S..ga for exemple ), it's: Butterfly ALC custom made + T64 on both side

I would say that BTY is only reliable about providing accurate equipment information when the players are using their own products. JSH for example, has been using P1-r and Grass DTecS but was listed as using FL3.

No, I mean, they really don't lie usually... On their site (butterfly japan only!), you can find players equipment and even the date of update... For example, they say nothing about the rubbers when itt's not butterfly... Nothing for JSH backhand now... Also, when LSW used Spinart on backhand last year, it was listed, but now, only the blade (LSW ZLF) is listed... they don't claim that her rubbers are Butterfly even if it was at a certain time...

Seems like lots of players in Germany use grip tape. Now I don't feel so embarrassed about it. |

Why is it embarrassing? I've experimented with it to accommodate my larger hand size, but have ended up taking it off as I find that it negatively affects my feeling for the ball as compared with the bare handle, and makes it harder to get my grip exactly how I want it when transitioning on various shots. I have a slightly different grip on the handle from forehand to backhand I imagine, and while tape gives better overall grasp on the racket, the flexibility of handling and loss of feel has led me to tear it off in frustration more than a few times now. Luckily I have a few more rolls should I decide to go back...

What grip tape does come in rolls? The ones that I use (Nittaku, BTFY) come pre-cut in a package.

Looks like patrick franziska is now using the timo boll alc as seen from the latest 2017 korea open. You can see the blade at the 3:25 mark on the ittf channel of timo vs patrick.
