Yep, that's the PG7 alright. I guess I watched the match while I was half asleep cause at one or two occasions the handle is clearly visible. Confused

It's a DHS-sponsored video, no wonder that he promotes the new Hurricane Long blade. In the last match against Xu Xin, he was still using a blade with PG-7 handle.

I'm still perplexed as to why he just doesn't use the Ma Long blade handle, same with Zhang Jike. I mean i guess it could just be personal preference, but I'm surprised DHS/Butterfly don't force them.

man, that's what it's come to at the Pro level... we're surprised when they don't try to deceive us.

Agreed. I think that if a CNT player is sponsored by a brand, somehow they don't give a f*ck about changing their equipment. They're like "I play with this, if you don't like it GTFO".

the answer is simple.
 
zjk plays with a viscaria that it is different than a zjk blade.
 
Ma Long plays with a PG7ish/xxx that it is different than the Ma Long II blade.
 
It is the manufacturers's fault. They are making different blades than those endorsed by their sponsored players.

ejmaster (i just mistyped it as "ejamster"... funny),

I finally tried your beloved PG7. much too fast for me (as I knew it would be), but I was suprised how much feel it had for a OFF+ blade. craftsmanship was a little disappointing (scuff mark / uneven place on one of the faces), but a good blade for the money

Did anyone catch what Alexei Smirnov was using today? It was definitely a BTY Timo Boll blade, and the accent colour wasn't blue. I think it was either a ZLC or ZLF. Anyone?

Additionally, was it T05 that he was using? His short trajectory strokes certainly befuddled his Latvian opponent.

It's difficult to tell, but Gacina and Shibaev (match on now) are both using BTY blades that look suspiciously like Korbels. Can anyone confirm?
