good question!! i'm not aware of a page where they announce that beforehand.
anyhow, wang liqin and chuang chih-yuan play for shanghai and chen qi and han yang (kan yo) play for jiangsu. as for you staying awake, you're in the uk, right?? well, that's at 6:29 (or 7:29 in london) in the morning. that's not so bad--nowhere near as bad as 2:29 in morning over here!! |

IMHO, that coach for shanghai made a blunder by putting WLQ in the doubles. there's no way chuang is gonna beat chen qi, so it's gonna be up to a low player to win it for shanghai and that doesn't look very likely...

well, apparently the only way we'll find out for sure is by watching the news, cuz CCTV5 has cut out in the middle of the chuang chih-yuan - chen qi match. what a bummer!!

Whats wrong with Chen Qi when he was playing against Wang Liqin? seems like if he was pointing at someone in the crowd, because both teams looked back at the spectators?

i think it was the announcers and the cheering that was bothering them. out of courtesy, people generally stop cheering when the point in progress, but some reason today, they were overdoing it and cheering during the point and that's why on a few occasions, chen qi would stop and wait for them to finish.

chen qi has quite bad temper, just like me :D if he can change in that, expect him to be a world champion soon. i wont be surprise if he can do it b4 olympic and get a gold medal for china!!!

Nicko, I couldn't find some of the matches on megaUpload, only on Youtube.
Examples: Ma Lin vs Zhang Jike, and Zhang Jike vs Joo Se Hyuk. Do you have them, by any chance? or did I just miss the links somehow? |

JimT@ , I havn't posted all videos of SL on my pc , but I have not the matches you are speaking about . Nearly all matches are broadcasted live or tape by national or local tv channels .
For instance WT-Rd 12 :
31-07 Beijing - 81 , cctv5 , live 15:30 ;
01-08 Shanxi - Jiangsu , Shanxi Taiwan tv , tape , recording 15:30 ; broadcasting ?
01-08 Luneng - Guangdong , cspn , live , 19:30 ; and so on .
