maybe because he is a great player, working as hard as everybody in china team, but lacks a mental toughness and doesn't have major title yet :)

Yep, hopefully he'll be able to call himself a world champ after this event.

my comment revolved solely around the fact that LGL does not like Hao Shuai, and I am simply suprised to see him there over a couple other players.

Bah, what's the deal with teams avoiding direct confrontation with the Chinese? Seems like most tournaments one or the other doesn't show up in full force.

yeah very disappointing that the other teams aren't sending their top players. Maybe Kenta will put on a good show against the Chinese and his  bandwagon will kickstart again lolLOL

Jun Mizutani is training in the mountains. He's going to come back with a fury. Maybe a beard, too.

does anybody have that match?  for some odd reason, only the following 3 matches are posted at ITTV.  maybe china was so embarrassed at that loss that they told the ittf not to put that one up for all to see.

something's up with ma long...  for someone at no. 1, he's been losing a lot this year-- he lost to boll at the worlds, and to yan an twice in the super league and now to lowly chan kazuhiro of japan (formerly of china).

i think china has got to replace ma with someone who's better playing at no. 1--WANG LIQIN!!

The strokes of all players don't have the same power as before.

VOC threshold was decreased to 3 ppm.

This is not a silly rumor.
Tuning is not cheating when it's "Factory Tuned".

Btw, i know that he was injured.

anyhow, i just watched SWSS's youtube post of the ma - chan match and ma looked totally off.  a lot of balls he normally hits, he missed and missed badly.

god, i feel sorry for the guy, cuz that look on coach liu's face was scary.  he, without a doubt, got a tongue-lashing, if not an actual lashing, after that loss!!

too bad mizutani and kishi weren't there.  maybe after that win, they coulda gotten fired up and come up with another win and perhaps an upset.

maybe, ma was trying out a new rubber.  cuz he really missed a lot of shots and a lot of 'em went over chan's head.

and since japan didn't bring their A-team, it didn't really matter if they lost a game...

Ma Long simply hasn't recovered completely after his shoulder injury - remember, the one after which he missed China Open 2010???
