At the same time, Chinese boys had no problem with Japan (including Niwa Koki, who lost to Wu Jiaji in 5 sets) in the final. 3-0 for China.

Its a great place for talent spotting, and good for World competion to see the Japanese kids doing so well, unfortunatly NZ came last in both groups, we could have sent a better team but sometimes when events are on the other side of the World its more who can afford the trip.
The thing about the Chinese is we never know who else they have in storage lol

Boy this boy Zhou Yu from China has the best backhand (away from the table loop) I have ever seen in someone so young, even compared to thier top players.
Mind you that from the highlights from the vid provided by SoWhySoSerious (many thanks mate)
I can imagine those to boys fighting it out the World champs in a few years

Umm I beg to differ about Wu JJ. Koki Niwa totally choked on the match, he had 4 match points. Meanwhile Wu JJ really disappointed me: I was looking to see what the future of penhold is, and I saw it is a weak backhand and inconsistent attempts at looping far from the table. I am no friend of any shakehand style, but Koki Niwa looked umpteen times more in control to me, taking less risk and winning points with more placement and less effort. Maybe I just liked his performance better because Wu JJ started Tchoing really offensively once he leveled the score.

Zhou Yu Clap

But I think he is physically so much stronger and bigger than Yoshida Masaki, and that take the edge, his backhand has more power that Yoshida's forehand.

It appears that the first point of the Yuling Ishikawa match was a Let, and nobody called it.
And I guess Kasumi prefers her clipper over the innerforce for now..

+1 i know wu was really into it but that type of choing esp the last one, as if to say 'in your face,' is not in the spirit of fair play. its bothersome and annoying.

China & Japan are rivals, stop being a pussy about it, this is why our sport is laughed at. Spirit of fair play and nice & fun, but I am sorry rivalries gets attention. Even LGL said that what Chen Qi did by kicking the chair, TT needs. We need personalities, not dudes with pussies and chicks with dicks that looks like dudes. Sorry but this is why our sport is not popular.

When ranked by the number of fans TT is #6 on one of the latest lists , and #2 individual sport (after Tennis).

However when ranked by number of people actually playing the game, Table tennis is #1 individual sport.

Sorry, but did you guys (rodewan and chair) watch the whole match of 35 minutes between Wu vs Niwa?
I don't like excessive Cho-ing either, but if you watch the entire match, the japanese teammates are the one cho-ing everytime niwa made a point or when wu made a mistake.

I think Wu did it just to get even, he was pretty quiet for the first 24 minutes of the game.
And he did the last, loudest cho-ing to the japanese team! Clap

why is Ishikawa still playing in these junior tournaments?  She even plays the minor ones,  she might be Japan's number 2  on the national team, these tournaments are pointless for someone of her calibre.
