Its a nicely priced blade. Made in China. 6.4mm not too thick for a seven ply. If you are on a budget, and like OFF wood blades, worth a try. Otherwise there's better blades to buy.

I tried an ST version a while back. I liked it ok, but as I recall the ST handle was sort of thin.

It's hugely popular in Japan and a best-seller, perpetually in the top 10 of the Table Tennis Kingdom sales ranking.

The FL handle is in line with that of Stiga Master.

I know where to get it and how it plays. I just wondered why there is noone talking about the Swat despite its huge popularity in Japan.

Because most people regard TSP as a pips rubber master more than anything.  Most people would be surprised to learn that it is actually the oldest brand in the entire table tennis industry.  It is just that TSP is, among the Japanese brands, one of the most humble when it comes to global marketing.  Mizuno is in the same boat as well.  Much of its lineup is not known overseas, but is in fact in widespread use domestically.

Speak of the devil.  The ever-so-popular Swat family is about to welcome two new members - Swat Power and Swat Speed.  Both rated off+, the former is designed for super aggressive play with the plastic ball and the latter for close to the table play.  To be released this late December.

Both have Limba as outer ply and the rest is ayous (Swat 7 ply / Swat 5 5 ply). But some of the plies are "smoked", hence the name SWAT (smoked wood tech)
