    Posted: 12/04/2011 at 6:01am
Hi There,

I'm back to the Acoustic again. But i need new rubber. Backhand is fixed with Sriver-EL 2.1 but i need a hard rubber for the forehand. Obvious choices are of course Tenergy 05 and Hurricane 3 Neo, but Tenergy is expensive and Hurricane 3 Neo comes from Asia and takes 2 weeks to get here and i need something fast....

Any ideas for a great hard rubber?

Thanks :)

Thanks for all the input! I used to use H3 Neo Provincial. But it's worn down and need replacement and i don't want to wait two weeks for it to come from China. I've found a cheap hardly used Spin Art, which i bought today, so i am gonna slap the Spin Art on it.  Hoping for the best :)

Well to use this rubber you must have a good technique.
If you play brush loop like playing with H3, then this rubber isn't for you.
Brush looping with this rubber is not spiny at all, must hit more to penetrate the hard sponge and use the combination of topsheet and sponge to produce a good spin.
I just can't play at all with this rubber, so I don't try it on other blade, I sell it after 3 times using, give up using it Cry

i guess i can cross out that rubber, havent heard much talk about it thats why im interested, i thought it plays the same as h3 with a bouncier sponge, seems like we almost have the same set up except for the blade. thnx

I got to say, i'm impressed with the spin art! Spin is great, Throw is medium and it's hard. It's mildly tacky and had a lot of grip! Serves and pushes are amazing so is flat hitting. The only major downside is the weight. It is really really heavy :( Maybe i will switch from 2.1 mm to 1.9mm. Maybe that will help :)

For some reason, it didn't play the same like the Provincial. The provincial is more consistent for some reason. H3 is definitely lighter than the Spin Art.

Hello, i don't want to start the new topic. The question is pretty the same, i have Nittaku Acoustic 85gr with Acuda S2 2.0 on the FH, how does it suits Acoustic?

I am thinking of getting a new rubber as soon as it wear's off, thinking about something with better control... It is not necessary to be hard rubber, any that suits better.

It would be good if someone here have tried this combination.

acoustic works with either. ppl use tenergy and h3. both work well. it depends on your style. power looper = h3, control looper = tenergy.

basically anything that's like clipper's catch and speed is suitable for power looping

And if i dont want chinese rubber (H3) and prefer europe/japan?

Tenergy has less control than Acuda S2, and I would like something with little bit more control

Spinart plays well with Acoustic. It needs good technique and fast arm swing.

Surprisingly, a cheap Palio Biotech CJ8000 39-41 suits Acoustic even better.

Rhyzm.

I am thinking about Nittaku Galze 2.0 on the forehead, how is it compared to Acuda S2?

I play with Rhyzm 42.5 and it plays really well not too hard. I have never played with S2 or blaze so cannot help you much there.

Xiom Vega Japan is used by a team mate (Ranked around the number 200 in France, he is playing extremely well ) on both side on max, on his acoustic. Its a quite hard rubber (45° density).

some of the Nittaku's sponsored pros are using Acoustics with FastArc G-1.  you might want to give that a try.
