Zhang is the new boss; after the WS and the ITTF ranking toppings, if he gets gold in London he will enter the greatest's court.

How come ISHIKAWA Kasumi (JPN) rating points keep going up? (At 2765 now.)
I don't recall that she has done well, but under-21 competition may have helped her.

Next number 1 in breeding is Xu Xin.

There is just not enough world titles for these top players to fight for.

Wang Hao is short of Olympic
Zhang Jike is short of Olympic
Ma Long, Xu Xin and up and coming juniors (within the scenes in 1 ~ 3 years time), there is just too many people for a annual world cup, 2 yearly world champ, and once every 4 year Olympic

Wang Liqin was #1 in the world for 48 straight months.  Puts some perspective on how good he was!
