i have heard man good things about the Ludeack. i have never tried it tho. i own a Tenor and a Violin. Violin has a better feel but the Tenor is better to play with. i find the violin to be too light and i cannot use heavy rubbers on it due to imbalance of the bat. ( head heavy )

This question is almost without meaning. All of the Nittaku blades are 'nice.' It depends how you play, and what you're looking for. All of them also have good touch - they're all-wood. If you ask about specific characteristics (i.e. the note about head-heaviness Silva7 mention's below), people will be able to help you.

You should say what style of game you like to play and give some clues as to what you can afford, etc.

I like the ratings and reviews for the Kasumi Basic if I was looking for an all around blade to start out with, but if money was no object, and because I play somewhat of a modern defender type game, I would love to try a Vioncello.

I have a Monophonic, which I cut down to a normal size, which plays pretty well, but it can't chop as well as my Butterfly Defence II's, so I don't use it.

I wanted an all wood nitakku blade for my collection, which had to be fast 5ply,compact head, flexible ,not heavy(around 80g) not too expensive . I did my research and bought a Latica Light and don,t regret it. it is exactly what I was looking for. For someone who prefers all of the above mentioned qualities, but dislike smaller handles and compactr head I would suggest the normal Latika

Ludeack is a good one. If you get one of their blades made in japan, and not one of the ones made in china.. the quality is arguably (and in my opinion) better than butterfly.
